Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

Monday, November 3, 2003

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

I'll stick with my woodstove and cast iron dutch oven. George Foreman isn't for the long haul.

Why? The pilot was kinda kooky, but not likely a suicide pilot...

His family owns Flash Airlines, the charter service shuttling tourists to Paris at the time of the crash, she said. The couple were talking about where they would live once he earned his license to fly large passenger jets.

If he really was out to kill, it is likely that he would have waited for a more opportune time, don't you think? Particularly when the guy has access to a fleet of planes.

My husband is the same way. I have my Rad Block pills for two years now. Anyway do you live in the city? I am heading to the store this weekend for a stock up, now that I have a newborn I have to add to my worries with extra formula and diapers, along with my eight year old and my four cats. Lots of litter and cat food. I worry alone because my husband thinks I am nuts. Oh well I won't share my rationings with him for this!

Great job on looking up those flight numbers, sure makes one wonder. That #602 was listed in two of the messages. It's going from Portland to Las Vegas today. Too many different ones for one person to watch, maybe those willing could take one to watch. I'll take the Alaska Airlines #602 today.

Any other volunteers?

"I consider ijaz the enemy."

So do i. And I don't have to give a reason why I think so since 99% of you would never understand it.

I always perk my ears up when he speaks because he seems to have a handle on events, etc. But, he seems to move pretty effortlessly around the mid-east when he is investigating. Maybe too easy? I also don't understand why he was a Clinton supporter (think I heard him say once on FOX he would vote for him again). Are you thinking 5th Columist; am I being paranoid? He seems okay but "seems" doesn't always cut it. Sheep's clothing? He (or his parents?) is from Pakistan, isn't he? Is he Muslim? Man, I hate being so suspicious...

His own wife hasn't seen him since September. Why would a man of his means choose to shuttle tourists back and forth? Who knows. He was described as a devout muslim. My personal gut read on it is that he got caught up with extremist crowd, was on a suicide mission and bailed before completion.

I wonder how he found this thread to know what has been discussed.

He can check who has linked to his site and ban that url.

So, does that mean we are busted by EOM, Daleel, et al, too?

Hey JP, I had a thought about how to identify fellow FReepers in case of the unthinkable. We could all get one of those cheesy standard adhesive name labels. ya know the "HI, I AM..." and write in the name "HUGH"! :-)

(actually, I'm halfway series about this...)

I have absolutely nothing to add to this discussion- but any thread that looks like it is heading towards the 10,000 posts mark- I had to be a part of.

Sure is strange, the guy went from "relief crew" to "pilot" to "heir of the airline". Go figure.
