Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

Monday, November 3, 2003

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

reuters says the terrorists name is:

That passenger, said by Reuters to be named Abdu Hai, is said to have been traveling on a French passport and may have been either an Afgan or a Tunesian.

The machine translation is a little stiff but pretty accurate - it pretty effectively conveys the gist of the message.

The Real Audio file appears to be one of the Friday sermons delivered by one of the imans in Saudi Arabia. It has the standard exhortations in it but nothing specific that I can find.

One thing does out in this message. It refers to someone by the name of Suleiman Boo Ghaith. I'm assuming it is refering to Suleiman Abu Ghaith and that the name is typed incorrectly in the Arabic. Suleiman Abu Ghaith is/was (not sure what his status is now) the official spokesperson for Bin Laden. So the error in his name sort of stands out - not sure why.

well, I think alot of it is because of the "anything could happen" approach, and the "gotcha politics" in the US. Charles Schumer was holding press conference demanding that radiation sensors be put outside the queens midtown tunnel.

I'm going to send an email to John Batchelor via the wabcradio web site asking if he could ask Loftus what his take on this whole "suitcase nuke" issue is, since none of the other media sources even talk about the issue.

This is one hell of a thread. Been lurking since the first day, and I'm finally getting caught up again.

Thanks to each of you.

I am trying to switch modes from information gathering to action. It's difficult. I keep hoping to find something that will convince me not to worry.

"Perzactly!

Just think of it as being a good Girl or Boy Scout and "Always be Prepared!" When I think like that, I don't feel quite so panicky!

Cool - I'll be listening. Does he usually respond? I've sent comments to them in the past and never received a response. Now that Alexander is gone, he should consider changing the show's format a bit.

Good idea, maybe it will help me. "thundersoftruth" Lots of Bible references to the 7 thunders. Another thing is thunder is considered a methaphor for "heavens."

I found this in some of their ravings, posted on WorldNetDaily.

"Allah Akbar, here are the heroic soldiers of the truth. They have taken their positions and raised their swords and they shielded themselves with the protection and support of Allah.

"Allah Akbar. Here are the lions ready to set out, waiting to hear the [battle cry] "Allah Akbar" coming from their commander, to assault with speed, with the heat of a volcano, and the bombardment of thunders.

THROW UP.

"...why haven't their been more arrests inside the US of cells, cell members or sympathizers? The Feds are supposedly monitoring suspected al qaeda cells members and supporters."

Perhaps those under surveillance have not yet placed their hands squarely inside the cookie jar...Look at the stupid and undeserved flak they are taking because of GitMo, Seattle, Lackawanna, Johnny Jihad, and that heavy female lawyer charged with helping terrorists in jail communicate with terrorists not in jail, etc. It really does not seem to matter who the threat is since so many unpatriotic Americans immediately side with the wrong side.

With both truth and sarcasm, I say this: You know how the libs will scream at AG John Ashcroft and GWB if the terrorists are caught before an evil act of terror is committed; basically the Feds would need to stop an act in progress to shut them up and stem the avalanche of evil U.S. lawyers already chomping at the bit to defend all terrorists.

This is creepy. A few days ago I posted that I thought they might use the restrooms on the planes, and I thought that I was just paranoid. Reading this, it occurs to me that maybe I'm not Totally whacky. The restroom is the perfect place for transfer of goodies from the female to the male. Maybe she removes the goods and places them in a prearranged spot--he nonchalantly goes in a bit later. Also, wasn't there a post the other day about one flight where people kept getting up and going to the bathroom in small groups?

I agree, except that I don't think the Dems attacks are working with anyone except their core base, and those people are lost anyway. Did you see Chris Matthews interviewing that ACLU lawyer who was against the new fingerprinting and photographing of foreign nationals? Matthews was getting incensed at the guy, you could see it, if the left has lost Chris Matthews, that says alot. On the whole, the left's sympathy on these issues is hurting them, their credibility on anything associated with the terrorism is quite low.
