Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

The REAL question becomes..DO they have suitcase/container nukes? If so..would they be FOOLISH enough to use them?

Part of me thinks that the ragheads wouldn't be foolish enough. The other part of me fears their "we'll die trying" mentality. The problem is, they are radical - and maniacal. They apparently don't care if the ME is turned to glass or not.

IF a nuke of ANY size goes off in an American city, one can be reasonably sure of ***MASSIVE*** US retaliation against the ME and any of the "regimes" that are against the US. (GWB said "either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists". I personally think that was a warning along the lines of "if something big happens in the USA, and you are not on our side..you're gonna be on the receiving end of an ICBM or ten").

WWIII?? Possibly. Maybe that's what the bad guys have in mind. But, what they do NOT understand is the American mindset..we can be some pretty seriously pissed off cowboys when something threatens us. (Apparently, they have not watched too many John Wayne or Dirty Harry movies. This might be advised before getting too 'pissy' and lighting off a nuke or other WMD).

So..what's the consensus? Are the ragheads that stupid? Do they GET IT? (America has enough firepower to destroy earth something like 2,917 times over. If they think that we won't obliterate ANYTHING that moves after a WMD attack, the ragheads are even more stupid than first thought).

Impressions:
1. It appears to written in the journalistic Arabic, not classical Arabic as you'd see from an Islamic cleric. Most of Bin Laden's writings are in more formal classical Arabic.

2. Two words are used in what appears to be an emphasis on a near future event. I've translated it "very soon". But if you translated it literally it would say "Soon" and "Nearby", with "Nearby" used in an chronological context, if that makes sense.

3. Whoever wrote this is using personal possessives to indicate a relationship to the group or the individuals carrying this out, or may in fact be the person who is having a hand in the action.

If we get nuked, what will Russia and China do? Will they think it is their opportunity to destroy us or strike at us in fear when we start lobbing nukes in retaliation? A nuke response from us may be just what the terrorists want. They are already in the stone age and a collapse of civilazation would not affect them as much as us. That makes me think that we will NOT retaliate with nukes.
