Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

One thing that bothers me about the "final demands" letter is the rather effusive apology for the destruction their threatened attacks will cause. If they were just out to frighten people, I don't think that they would bother with the extensive apologies. It also seems like, they may be somewhat ambivalent about their plan--they keep trying to give the Administration a chance to meet their demands, including even pointing out how to connect with them.

I find the reference to led fire very interesting. At first I thought "led" was a typo or poor English. After looking up the phrase led fire you see what it is used for: led fire is used to form the numbers on digital clocks, transmit information from remote controls, light up watches and tell you when your appliances are turned on. Collected together, they can form images on a jumbo television screen or illuminate a traffic light.

I have been worried also. I have been having strange dreams. They are horrible.

Now, I normally take everything with a grain of salt, especially on this thread, and I haven't been here since the low 10000's.

I never have bad dreams, and/or I never remember them. But I had a doozy last night. A nuclear attack of some sort, to the east of where I am, at night, coupled with airborne anthrax the next day.

So I couldn't sleep much so I came in to work early. I tell my early-shift friend about it, hoping for a big laugh. Turns out, he never gets nightmares either. But he had a similar nightmare.

Weird enough to post, if nothing else. Grab those salt grains.

It's not a big deal with decent software and a good PC. It'd be even easier on a high end Mac.

I cobble together movies on my work PC for training all the time. I helped the HR guy make Digital movies using clips from Chicken run(emerging leadership), The Cain Mutiny(Bad, leadership) etc. I continue to make equipment training movies from equipment I've built(with other engineers). I spice them up with sound, relevent movie clips, graphics.

It's really easy these days, specially when you have a high-end digitical Sony CamCorder and a media capture board with RCA Jacks and dual monitors :). It's not even my primary job, but since I bought all the junk for my work PC, I end up doing a few short(5-10 minutes) movies every month. It's fun too. heh.
