Being a newbie myself, it's like a bunch of popular high school students picking on someone not in their own crowd. Spoof deserves a chance to prove him/herself. It's a harsh world out there, You can't even take a drive without some idiot trying to cut you off to get one car ahead. We need more niceness in this world. I agree with Revel 100%. We need to put this to rest and let Spoof start anew. Time will tell us all his or her intent. Antagonism doesn't belong here no matter who is doing it. Peace and back to topic please.

Question though, the clock uses Java Script.

JavaScript has some capability to send your browser to a different Web site or to send data from your browser to another site. However the capability is pretty well circumscribed. It will certainly NOT extend to making your machine into a POP server (which is used for some popular forms of email transmissions). Similarly it can't open arbitrary ports to create open doors for viruses or anything.

Java can be a different animal. I don't know whether the original clock was Java or JavaScript; the common clocks available as well as the reproductions of this one seem to be mostly JavaScript.

Java (Not JavaScript) can potentially cause serious security issues if you grant it permission - but you do have to grant the permission, the capabilities aren't turned on by default. The names are somewhat confusing even to many computer professionals who aren't heavily into web-based systems, but the two actually don't have much similarity other than a superficial syntactic similarity in the two languages, and confusingly similar names. Their semantics (that is, the meanings behind the syntax) are vastly different.

So the short answer is that you don't have to worry that someone's going to download a virus to your computer if you're running the JavaScript clock.

Since you asked I will tell you.When SC first started to post no one would respond to him because of his grammar and punctuation.He started to whine that no one talked to him. I told him that this is a world forum and not a chat room and if he wanted to be taken seriously he needed to improve his typing skills, this was after I called him a newbie. He responded with quite an attitude and since then his typing and grammar has improved immensely.Question: If he was capable of writing like he does now, why would he write like someone that uses English as a second language. He has told others that I sent him a freep mail saying I hated him, I challenge him to post that mail, I never said such a thing.

Rumor: OBL IN CUSTODY


22 January 2004; 1905 EST: UPDATE: We are aware of the denials issued by the United States Department of State and the reports of US denials carried by various news outlets such as Reuters that Osama bin Laden has not been captured. We became aware of the initial rumor of his capture at the time it began circulating earlier today, and we were fully aware of the official denial. We do have verifiable intelligence, however, of "unusual movements and activities" of special US forces in certain areas where bin Laden and al Zawahiri have reportedly been seen - however we will NOT disclose this information to avoid compromising the safety, welfare and special operations of our men and women of the military. According to two highly placed and credible human sources within the intelligence community, these movements are indeed related to a "HVT" (High Value Target) within al Qaeda. Our sources are firm in their assertions that there is a "significant advancement" in the ongoing war on terror.



Within the last six months, we could have issued reports that Osama bin Laden was captured by the Saudi's, by our own military task force, and even held by an opposing faction in Iran. As we were NOT able to verify this intelligence through credible human sources, that information never saw the light of day. This report, although denied by the US Department of State, appears to have much more validity than originally expected. Whether Osama bin Laden is the "HVT" and whether he is in custody remains to be seen.



We are following this matter closely and will report our findings as they are confirmed.

I am going to do some more searching tonight for the original Khayma source code. Plenty of misery can be dealt with Javascript if you re not up to date with your Windoze Updates. There is a slim chance that viewing the countdown timer my have placed some sort 'surprise' on your local machine. It would be a good idea for everyone to be sure they are up-to-date with O/S patches, Anti-virus updates and Firewall updates, etc. Of course this is always a good idea. If you happen to know anyone that may have archived the source code for the timer can you have them FreepMail me or send a copy to ---> Layoutguru2@yahoo.com. I did view the source at the time the page was still up (I didn't see anything nasty, but I am a wanna-be Java guru so my opinion may not be worth much), but I didn't save a copy, Argghh.

Members of Al Qaeda and Talaban To Be Given The Signal For

Militant Operations in the Coming Days by 'Clouds Enterprise'

Clouds Enterprise, as he is known on the Jihadi forums, abruptly left those forums last week, to go on a mission. Whatever that mission was/is, he is highly respected in the Jihadi circles, and was praised for his endeavor.

Now it seems that Clouds Enterprise had a very serious mission. Sometime in the days ahead, a media tape is to be sent to one of the ‘field military commanders’ that gives orders for some of the militant operations to begin.

Evidently, the members of Al Qaeda and the Talaban in Afghanistan and Iraq are exempt from acting on the instructions in this tape.

More and more, the countdown clock appears to be legit!

I have explained this many times. I'm not used to typing properly. I type fast everywhere else. I don't take the time to pretty up my typing. I changed that here after the posts about it. If you would take the time to actually read any of my posts, and I doubt you do very often, then you would have read this explanation at least a few times already. I don't ever recall you ever challenging me to put it up. I do recall you already saying you never said it, and I freepmailed you about it. You seem to be the only one clinging on to this.
