Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

Monday, November 3, 2003

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

"New Ideas Unlock Opportunities for Persons With Disabilities

By Gov. Tom Ridge

From physical and development disabilities; to sight, hearing and speech impairments; to "hidden disabilities', such as mental illness ...disabilities come in all forms. They also affect us differently. Some of us have disabilities ourselves -- I wear a hearing aid, for example. Others have family members or work with people who have disabilities."

"Agents told to be silent on details of border plan"

I don't get this at all...it's too simple to be just a boost of the hispanic vote when it's a turn off to the core republican vote. There has to be more to this than meets the eye.

This is not talking negatively about him wearing a hearing aid. Instead my comment was regarding information that he may be receiving regarding security at the time of the speech...most of the Secret Service agents also wear ear pieces for communication.

Re: Tom Ridge

After his first year at the Dickinson School of Law, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served as an infantry staff sergeant in Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star for Valor, the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry and the Combat Infantry Badge. A ruptured appendix cut short his tour and he returned home in 1970, a childhood ear infection was also aggravated by his service and Ridge has needed a hearing aid in his left ear since then.

Ang, the article and speech was linked a few posts back. Not sure which page it's on, now. Probably in the 8-10,000. I didn't download it or print it out, sorry.

Re PostNo. 13148 and the link to http://www.sunherald.com/mld/sunherald/news/nation/7652088.htm

I can't say that I disagree with the premise of the article. Just about anyone with a good imagination and basic understanding of global affairs can make predictions with respect to potential attacks, which are broad enough to link the predicted attack with an event that actually occurs somewhere around the world, and then attribute the difference between what was predicted to happen and what actually happened (or what never happened) to top secret inside information that can't be disclosed because of national security reasons; or better yet, claim that the attack never occurred because of the secret information that the person who made the prediction passed to his or her undisclosed sources deep within the CIAFBINSAATFDHSTSA. (I know this is a run-on sentence, but that's the kind of mood I'm in at the moment.) :-)

I wish I could recall just where it was. It might be quicker to google on a nuclear threat thing. He gave the speech just last week, but this thread flies.

That's an awesome reference to have handy. Someone on Free Republic posted it soon after 9/11 and I have kept the print-out handy in my kitchen ever since.
