You state you know many catholics that whore, curse, verbally abuse the church, and beat their wives.
I think you are making that up. Otherwise you whore with them, associate with them in cursing and verbally abuse the Catholic Church, and stand by in their homes while they are beating their wives. Also, you state, "...the church makes no move to strip them of their beads." I don't think you can misunderstand the purpose of a church more than this. Not just a Catholic church, but a Christian church.
A church is not a club. It is a community. It is formed for the purpose of bringing it's members closer to God. If a Catholic, or any Christian is sinning, then it is an offense to God. The church is there to support the individual and to bring them back. In the Catholic Church that is what the sacrament of confession is for. It is not a get out of jail free card. It is to help an individual who is repentant. Part of this is the desire not to sin and not to offend God. There are two elements to any church but let's stick with the Roman Catholic Church. There is the physical church, and the spiritual church.
Hitler may have been born a Catholic, he may have been babtized a Catholic, but he was not Catholic. Part of the tenant of the church is that your actions are intertwined with your intent. "Show me the official papers making Hitler,a babtized Catholic, not a Catholic." is a statement made from ignorence. In one of your earliest posts you stated you were born a catholic. Does that make you one now?

I see. And is it your opinion that Hitler might, or might not, have been forgiven his sins upon confession and contrition through the doctrine of salvation through acknowledgement of christ as savior by virtue of the crucifixion and ressurection.

In one of your earliest posts you stated you were born a catholic. Does that make you one now?

That's what it says in my hospital records at St. Vincent De Paul hospital, on my discharge papers, and on my baptismal certificate. And I have never formally repudiated the church by, say, writing a letter to my priest asking to be removed from the roles, or excommunicated for cause, as sometimes occurs. Why don't you see what your priest has to say about this?

I'm curious what you and the other posters here think you will gain, if you gain this point? If Hitler was not a christian, than that demonstrates that he knew he had to appeal to a christian audience by spouting christian rhetoric. If you win this battle, you lose the war. Curious.
