Clinton led a raucous campaign rally for Mayor John Street today -- four days ahead of the election.
The former president told Street's supporters that he knows -- quote -- "quite a bit about Republicans investigating Democrats." He compared his impeachment to the F-B-I probe of the Street administration. Clinton said Republicans in Washington ought to be investigating Street's public record because, he said, "It's a lot better than theirs."
The investigation became public October seventh when police discovered a hidden listening device in Street's City Hall office. Clinton joked the probe has made the famously taciturn Street -- quote --"downright charismatic."
Authorities have said the investigation has nothing to do with the election. They will not say what they are investigating.
Democrats blame the probe on Republicans trying to harm Street politically. But a recent poll suggests the bugging has boosted Street's re-election effort.

I wonder if anyone told the mayor that Clinton was not there on the mayors behalf. Clinton was there for Clinton and only Clinton. Just another one of his shameful ploys.

Guess the mayor hasn't heard that bubba's jinx is worse than the SI cover jinx.

I wish he'd come to my state to "help" the Dem candidates the same way he helped Grayout Davis.

How long before Clinton shows up outside various courthouses and starts touting the character of Robert Blake and Scott Petersen ?

x42rapist/purjurer has had a run of bad luck lately (Greyout Davis et al). He needs a win. So why not pick a guaranteed win? A$$hole!

klintoon, the first black president is an arse. He would have supported Marion Berry, the crack head mayor of Washington DC. This is no different than supporting the Philly mayor. And the blacks support these worthless people? Why?????????????? I guess they want to support a black man no matter what their past is or no matter how bad they are??? Come on, black people, wake up, why support criminals only because they are black. Support decent men, black or white.

So much for the rumors that Street would be indicted early next year - Clinton wouldn't have been within a thousand miles of him if he thought there were a chance it would backfire eventually and make him look bad in supporting a crook (openly, that is).......

The former president told Street's supporters that he knows -- quote -- "quite a bit about Republicans investigating Democrats." Yeah, he learned that from the FBI files he stole.
