I heard a report on his condition on FOX an hour ago. ....He's "fine."I heard "stable," which really doesn't mean anything (it's good, fair, serious, critical--I'm sure I'm missing one or more). At least the shooter didn't hit any vital organs. The guy is really lucky--and the shooter will definitely be charged with attempted murder.
The real hero is the off-duty reserve deputy who made the flying tackle. The Court TV cameraman who was pointing to him in the video said in one his interviews he thought the guy would start shooting randomly at people in the area.

Evidently he was lucid enough on the way to the hospital to wave and give hand signs, which among attorneys are used to negotiate fee split percentages, to the black Lincoln Continental closely following the ambulance, and driven by a fellow member of the bar!
