Have you noticed they've totally changed the recipe for Alpha-Bits, Crispy Critters, and Honeycomb cereal? I got some not too long ago and was revolted by it. Both used to be made of something similar to the main ingredient of Cheerios but sweeter and harder. The stuff now is a less dense, yellow material. Big disappointment. Oh, remember the ads for Crispy Critters in which a fire sweeps across the landscape crisping the critters as they're driven by the flames into the cereal box?

I'd forgotten Crispy Critters!

I'd forgotten about these, too - but the box brings back fond memories.

Notice how they've taken the word "sugar" off all the cereals? We used to have Sugar Pops, Sugar Smacks, etc.

Have you also noticed that the names of cereal have changed since we were kids? Suger Frosted Flakes I think are just Frosted Flakes, Suger Pops are Golden Pops or something similar. Any cereal that had SUGAR as part of its title has been renamed. Same super sweet crap, but re-marketed for stupid people.

Every few years I treat myself to a box of favorite, totally not-good-for-you (you might as well eat the box itself) childhood cereal and indulge myself.
