That boy ain't right...

Hmmm, I don't see that at all. Maybe because your eye for art is *ahem* naive. I mean the story is well intentioned and all, but the characters are wooden and badly proportioned - though the composition of the frames show some balance/promise.
I know it sounds harsh, nobody likes hearing that their newborn baby is ugly, but some life drawing classes would help. I hope you continue to draw and learn, and that you one day execute a strip worthy of your vision.

Oh Jim, why is it that liberals always appear to be so full of hate? Maybe because it's...TRUE? Take your pettiness and return to DU. Bye.

thx alot!

I don't hate you.
I hope you continue with your endeavor.
You need to learn how to draw if you're going to market this thing. Look, I know it's a labor of love, but so are dioramas made out of popcicle sticks. The ego often becomes dependent upon acceptance of that labor. Rather than getting squashed by a publisher and having chunks of your ego stuck all over the bottom of some editor's shoe, learn to draw, and go in with a professional looking product.
You hate me now.
You'll thank me later.

You seem to have an unbecoming habit of condemning as a DUmmie anyone who expresses anything but lavish praise for your efforts.
BTW, I like the strip and the art looks fairly good overall... the exception is in the last panel where President Bush looks like a white-haired Mario Cuomo.

I don't hate you at all...I merely am pointing out that you are someone I've never seen in here before and have run into quite a few DU trolls lately (for some reason, they are threatened by patriotism)
I prefer to adhere to the old saying that if you don't have something nice to say about something, it might be best to keep it to yourself. Your criticisms were not sought nor needed. We are very happy with where this is going. Now, if you don't mind, please stop responding under this thread. Your input is not needed. I don't know you, did not invite you into this thread, and it would appear that you have nothing of substance to offer me. Thus, I bid you goodbye.

thx...Like I told Jim Cane, I don't know him and it appears that some are threatened by patriotic displays...If not a DU'er, then why the urge to respond in a negative fashion rather than just move on to another topic? Simple, really...I just call it like it is.

Now, if you don't mind, please stop responding under this thread. The thing of it is. This is a public thread on Jim Robinson's site. Not yours. And I am just as much a guest on it as are you.
Your input is not needed.
Neither is it forbidden.
I don't know you, did not invite you into this thread,
I didn't realize one had to be invited in order to participate.
and it would appear that you have nothing of substance to offer me.
I advise Life Drawing I and II. Your strip needs substantial work.
Thus, I bid you goodbye
I wish you luck on your project, and hope you will consider taking some lessons or peruse some of the many excellent instructional materials available for Figure Drawing.
If nudity offends your sensibilities, there are a few books wherein the models are wearing jockstraps/thongs to hide their nether regions - though in most, the females are barebreasted. There are also additional materials which address the representation of dress/fabrics in a two dimensional medium.
Best wishes.
P.S. I like King Of The Hill, too.

The one superhero had the capacity to raise or lower the ambient temperature 5 degrees, and the other superhero could see exactly 3 seconds into the future. The latter can be useful in a barroom brawl if you can coordinate the realtime and futuretime vision...

"I think we need to talk."
A good understated cliffhanger there!
Now if only The Patriot's superpowers included the ability to zot comments by anal-retentive, poofter-litwonks from otherwise positive and uplifting threads...
To: Flora McDonald
LOL---truly. Some of these people have no clue.
