"Per conversation, is there any threat of the Big Bear area currently?"
"3 strike teams over there, sleeping. Gonna mobilize them and move them this way. That'll leave Big Bear with just their initial attack resources, but I'm gonna need them down by Running Springs."

Scanner:
Holding steady along the rim, maybe a good 10-15mph uphill wind at Rim High School.

Contact made with 53-year-old female on S. Mesa. No fire on the structure currently, but the vehicle they drove in with has a dead battery. Unit going to be sent out to jump the battery and get them out of there to safety.

FF preparing to work out tomorrow morning's staging plan, and are trying to get crews together to discuss.
And I'm sleeeeeeepy. I'm gonna stop being a scanner junkie and go to bed now.
For the Big Bear scanner, visit
http://www.compucations.com/nuke/html/modules.php?name=LiveScanners and click on "Listen" in the Big Bear Lake row. Requires Windows Media Player or other similar player to listen.
Goodnight, all. Those of you in fire areas, be safe.

Here in Hesperia, CA, about quarter of the city (POP 75000)
just placed under evac. notice.
Stinking TV stations are on infomercials, the only news we can get is from our local radio station which is getting out at 50000 watts (daytime strength). 960 on AM dial, being run by daytime people around the clock!
Flames have jumped hwy 138, winds from the south at 20 mph, gusts to 40, heading directly into town.
To: Fantail Fancier
WHAT?! Whereabouts in Hesperia?
I hope this isn't the region near Hesperia Lake... I've got a friend who lives /really/ close to there. Please, please say it ain't so...!

Fox talking about massive evac around Lake Arrowhead..
Morning all, Hope everyone is safe. Plan to read all back for today at least.
To: Molly Pitcher
Good Morning all......
CHP site has absolutely nothing on Arrowhead fires or Simi fires.....
To: Molly Pitcher
Lake Arrowhead's been under mandantory evacuation for two days running right now. If they're evacuating more people right now, those people are firefighters.
