Yes, PLNC. Our daughter wants to take a look at it.

Our (3) older kids had been there when they went on a mission trip to the Baja, and our youngest was enticed, so she's taking a look. (We're not Nazarenes, but very evangelical).

Your #5 needs to be your #1, IMO

and you need to add: Get the enviros OUT of the BLM, USFS, and other agencies that are responsible for this mess.

"Do you know if I5 from LA to San Diego is open?"

It's open and there are no fires threatening it.

Yes. You can see my above post for details. :o)

It's a gorgeous campus from the looks of the pictures, and our daughter shares her mother's love of the ocean!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I always thought that the 1906 SF earthquake was the worst.

With todays costs, this might be the worst.
If you convert 1906 costs to todays dollar values, might be a different story.
And this isn't over yet.....

When my husband was in forestry school (30 years ago) there were a lot of hippie enviro's in the forestry program with him. They were saying they were going to "take over the USFS from within".

Sounds like they took it over from within.

I'm trying to be very polite since this is a world wide forum. Thank you for the kudos. Everyone likes strokes...

Believe me, I know how to use the "f" word---It's a mainstay of my daily speaking......

The enviros have really made me pro active politically. Never was before.

One great website for info is Range Magazine out of Carson City, Nevada. They publish quarterly. If you have a spare $20 for a subscription, this mag is an excellent source of the wide range of problems the farms and ranchers that feed you every day are facing. In N Out will be extinct if we don't keep the ranchers from becoming extinct themselves.

the money will NOT go into RC general funding but will be used exclusively for people homeless from these fires.

The RC will have to prove to me they will fund exclusively as the doners want before I give them one cent. My dontations will go to Salvation Army and the RC can pound sand.

These areas is a vague statement. If all the mountains were off limits for building, and we still weren't allowed to trim and remove the overgrowth and dead stuff, we would have these fires in the intersection of I-5 and I-8.
I ride various trails pretty much year round. I carry a hand pruner on my saddle. If I do not keep up this trimming, the trails will close in on all of the riders within 12 months or less. I'm actually pretty good at pruning while horse walks...Problem is horse is trained to pretty much trot, so that tests my hand eye abilities.

I saw that numbnuts, also, and I wanted to punch him. Where does he live? Does any part of his house or furniture come from wood? I would like to send most of the radical enviros over to Afganistan to see what living in the 7th century is really like. They might like 2003 better after that trip.

"the RC can pound sand"

Since you can no longer build a reserve account for donating blood, I won't even give them that!

I don't know if they have changed their ways but 20 years ago they even charged the FS contract chopper pilots for coffee and donuts at their aid stations durring forest fires.
