The winds are relatively calm up in the Running Springs / Arrowbear area... the temps are decreasing rapidly and the humidity is rising... all good news... bummer about Santa's Village outside of SkyForest... the drive into Lake Arrowhead from my cabin (Green Valley Lake) is going to be an ugly drive.

I was watching a live feed earlier, and there's no mistaking the big candy canes in the Santa's Village parking lot... one minute you could see em, the next... flames and smoke.
As far as the knucklehead twins go... I hope their Uncle is still up there... he'll keep em off the lake. At least they have all-terrain vehicles and know every jeep trail/fire road on the mountain.
SAwpit, Burnt Mill all needed to burn, that area isvery old forest. No light in the forest floor it's so dense there

You know, someone from Australia emailed me that Santa's Village was intact.
How weird is that? I was under the impression that fire crews high tailed it out of there
To: BBQ_Mike
*sniffle* I liked Santa's Village! (Liked it better when it was open as Santa's Village, though; the fudge shop was nummy...)

My cabin is safe... for now. We survived the Willow fire a few years ago.
The fire is still quite a few miles from Big Bear.
