Just discovered that when they ended coverage. Ugggh.
Now Ch. 7's gone on to something far more "entertaining"... Jimmy Kimmel. Eew. TV's getting turned off, and I'm going to turn on scanners or talk radio.

yahoo weather says its 74 degrees in Big Bear City, with a low of 34...
something is off!
Okay. I can't take it anymore. I'm so tired. I'm going to bed.
Can't even begin to imagine how the fire fighters are feeling. I haven't really done a thing today.
Those poor guys up there not giving up and fighting so hard. I almost feel a bit guilty going into my nice comfortable bed. I'll say a good few prayer for them.
God Bless them all.

I'm a former CDF firefighter at Monte Vista (HQ) and Flinn Springs, CA, and I'm praying for all the firefighters now attacking this monster fire approaching Julian, CA. I've fought many wildfires in this area and it is the roughest terrain imaginable.

Betcha that the forecasted low was 34, and the current temp's 74. Just goes to show you that the weather service, well-meaning as they are, don't always get it right.

Actually I saw a something awhile back that showed something to the effect that you can easily be killed if you are in a boat on a lake when a fire goes through. I believe that the fire will "Steal" all of the oxogen and sufficate you. When you see it comming the best thing to do is flip the boat and get underneath.

They should have put 1000 in Julian instead of 200.
To: spectr17
Oof. I didn't know it burned all the way to Hesperia. Yikes.
Devil's Hole I knew was fairly large, though... but they didn't evac the whole mountain for that one, either.
