KFI reporting Arrowhead didn't have any water in their fire hydrants. Reporting a firebug out there starting the fires.

Reporting a firebug out there starting the fires. Great.

Yes it is.
Please help me watch for info on the firefighter killed today, regarding donations, etc.
Another thing, when these FF's get to these towns, I've tried to feed some of them. If someone would post local restaurant addresses, snack bars, etc., it would help and save alot of time. I just made bulk donations and asked they feed them until...they'll allow you to buy water for them, too.
What the hell did I just hear?!
THere is no water in the hydrants in Arowhead?

You may have read an earlier post of mine. He did cut back the CDF funds, over $50 million. Now the CDF is adding a "fee" to our tax bills for the rural 2 million homeowners. First year, the fee is $70, and $35/yr after that. If you do the math, we are way over funding the missing $50 million. But that's only part of it.
Davis STOOD DOWN the entire CDF air attack fleet of planes on OCT 15th of this year for "winter maintenance". I think the correct months for that maintenance would be Jan-Feb-Mar, when the rains have come and wet down the fire threat. But WTF do I know? I am just a bookkeeper who also raises horse......
In early June, Davis SHUT DOWN the fire observation towers thruout the forest of the state. Up here, volunteers are manning the towers, looking for smoke and fires and generating responses.
Davis spends most of his waking hours garnering campaign funds from supporters, and ignoring the needs of the residents. He is so clueless, I don't have enough words to describe him in pleasent company. He's useless.
I have alot of websites regarding the radical enviros. For anyone who is interested, post me privately, and I will pass on.
I have learned alot in the past 2+ years about how crazy these radical enviros are. We all need more education in order to fight them.

Actually I would love to put him in the middle of Lake Arrowhead in a boat and feel the heat from the fires! Actually I cannot say what I would really like to happen to Clinton

SO the objection that it isn't possible to log this forest is not accurate? I have no idea, but that's what I heard.

Thanks for the HAM info - any chance of a repeater that reaches to Tennessee? :)
I suppose that my best bet for getting Cali info is through the internet. I'm not well versed with repeater technology.

Fire alert for Big Bear: fire going onto Keller Peak RIGHT NOW in the area of Snow Valley then into Bear Creek if so then will threaten Big Bear
FF, fire heading toward Keller PEak (Commo site), heading toward Snow Valley (ski area) rapid rate of spread, will get into Bear Creek, giving it a straight shot to Big Bear
Get lookouts out there.

Hi, just coming back after a few hours. Does anyone know if the fire in Hesperia is still south of Ranchero? How are they doing?

Great idea about donations. I know In and Out burgers have been feeding the firefighters.

hehe! no seriously -- it hampers the behavior of the backfires they want to light. He said it won't act the way they want it to, the backfire doesn't burn completely.. so they skip them altogether when the humidity level rises to a certain percentage point.
I'm not overdoing it. Tomorrow I have a bunch of things to do and won't be around much at all. Thursdays are busy out here at the ranch.
