You've sure been "under the gun" with this fire there in No. Redlands for days now...hope things continue to be OK.

This was on that guy's blog:
Unconfirmed:
- "I called Channel 7 News and they do not care to cover the Twin Peaks areas nor the Cliffhanger area." [Tess]
- "The SBSO has told them if they pull stunts like that again they will be kicked off the mountain. ABC7 informed that they no longer had a desire to provide coverage whatsoever for the San Bernardino fires." [email]
- [webmaster: I guess the professionalism of the firefighters is too much for some tv people.]

I guess your question is finally answered. :( sorry

"Where is that
KABC lady's house?"
It was Cedar Glen which I think is outside of Julian...not sure.

Whew! Thanks. Watching the coverage from here in Chicago - this fire is a nightmare. Thanks for the update! Prayers going up.

Squints has burned so much in the past years there isn't much fuel load there. BJ and crew should be okay, it's pretty barren out there now. Plus he's got a little pond to go jump in or Deep Creeek it it gets bad. I turkey hunted there this spring. We planted turkeys there to reintroduce them to the SBNF in 1989. YOu can see the turkey hens run across the airstrip there sometimes

Which stunt did ABC7 pull?
To: halfdome; nicmarlo
It's gone from the chp list now, so it must've been nothing.
Phew
channel 7 has people all over the SB mountains, I don't know what that blog stuff was all about.

My mistake Cedar Glen question is in Arrowhead, not Julian. Although there is one named Cedar Glen there too.

Cedar Glen is just on the east side of LAke Arrowhead, Hook Creek Rd goes right down through there to Squints Ranch
THere are many homes there and a huge Boy Scout Reservation

Wow.. smoke in the pekoe canyon forming huge mushroom cloud.
Sky cam estimates at near 9000 feet up, and smoke is hampering the air drops.
