I live in the Washington Area and without the people of FR Broadcasting this story starting last Friday, the news would have never reach me until Monday when the spinmisters came back to work.

I've got tears myself.....this is so sad. All of this. I'm very angry. This could all have been avoided, had there been SOUND BURNING POLICIES IN PLACE, and had there not been murderous arsonist monsters.

Just got off the phone with a friend from church. His elderly Aunt is in bad shape physically, and mentally, and in Julian. He can't get a hold of her. I hope she got out.

the last runs have been made...one helo with a bucket (two rotors Chinook) is dumping stuff near Lake Arrowhead....I think its burning into the lake....

I'm listening to Roger Hedgecock on KOGO, and there was just a report that the little lake south of Julian is gone. I am trying to find out if this is the lake next to the old YMCA Camp Marston, and if so, is the camp still there?

Free Republic and calls to family are the only way I have been able to keep up with things at home.

Cuyamaca was the lake. The town and the lake have the same name. It really was a quaint Americana kind of town. It can't be replaced. You can put up new buildings, but it will never be the same for these people. They kept a 50's vibe to the town, and had those kind of values.
