gotcha. that was my confusion, he's on channel 4 here :-)
I hope he gets to her.
To: Silas
We get your point. Cut it out.
To: Yaelle
The irony is that the bro in law has been complaining about the high cost of cutting down those trees and the fierce-ness of the authorities that it be done! Lots of folks up there are retired seniors and it's been a heavy expense but the trees MUST be cut down.....no excuses!!!
Continued prayers for all in harm's way.

Kent was the one during one of the earthquake aftershocks started to get under his anchor desk on air. It took him a long time to live that one down.

On KNBC: Cop looking at Chuck Henry ready to drag his happy little butt off...
To: WestCoastGal
If you've been in a TV studio and seen the size of the lights hanging overhead, you wouldn't blame Kent for getting under that desk during the quake (big grin). I remember that well!

Hedgecock read a quote from Dianne Feinsweine today. She's for safe forests but wants to be sure that the forests are cleared only near homes because she doesn't want this to be a windfall for loggers.
TOO LATE, YOU IDIOT.......
How do we protect ourselves from such ignoramii!

"Can you hear me now?". KCBS2 has live webcast right now, but it's unedited feed from a stationary camera and a reporter asking that question. No location given, but looks like a scenic overlook quite away from any action. Going back to MSNBC.

San Diego County Evacuation updates
12:30 p.m.
Sheriff's Department issues a correction saying 10-mile-wide fire front is the front advancing on Julian, not the front menacing Palomar Mountain. Palomar Mountain residents are still being ordered to evacuate. Interstate 8 is closed from Tavern Road to Sunrise Highway.
12:13 p.m.
The evacuation in the Julian area is now mandatory and includes Julian, Pine Hills and Wynola, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. Residents are asked to obey all instructions from Sheriff's Deputies for a safe and orderly evacuation. Deputies will direct residents to the safe routes of escape. We are also ordering Palomar Mountain residents to evacuate as a ten-mile-wide fire front is advancing on that area. There is also a mandatory evacuation in progress in the Descanso area.

That was during the Whittier Narrows quake, wasn't it?

LOL. If I had been in the studio at that time we would have been competing for space under that desk.

I've been watching Chuck off & on. He's making a spectacle of himself.

You've posted that link on this thread five times.
Thats enough, thanks.

I've been watching Chuck off & on. He's making a spectacle of himself.I saw him either yesterday or Sunday when the anchor in the studio asked him if he thought it was time to go yet (with embers falling on his hair).
Chuck's response? "Oh, no. We're fine!"
Idiot.
I figure he'll show up next to Tourist Guy sooner or later.
