As far as the woods is concerned, the fire is probably the best way to get rid of the beetles now. But, there's so much to lose up there that thinning and clearing would have been the best path to removing them in the first place. They could have cleared a bunch of bad wood and burned it in the middle of the desert somewhere where it couldn't harm anything else. THe area has neeeded a good burn for decades. That is why the beetle did the damge the past years and now Mother Nature will thin the forest her way. Gene Zimmerman, the SBNF supervisor has mismanaged that forest into a disaster and should be fired.

On a lighter note.........I went to In 'N Out today and had a double double Animal Style. I asked the cleancut young fellow at the window what a Gorilla Style was and he just laughed. Said there was no such thing. So now you're going to have to tell us, even if it means you will have to kill us afterward. (Thanks for that link BTW.....what a super burger!!!)
