Ping. Michael Schiavo wouldn't take a liar detector test re: Terri's wishes nor would he allow CNN cameras in Terri's room "for her privacy" but it's okay to starve and dehydrate her to death. If he was looking for sympathy, he blew it big time. Of course, I knew he was a big slug to begin with. FV

Here's the part
Michael Schiavo Deposition
November 19,1993
Michael > "he [the doctor] was talking about removing the feeding tube, and I said I couldn't do that to Terri."
Greta > "His intention in 1993 was not to remove the feeding tube."
in the same deposition he said this
Michael > "I put a - after speaking with my doctor, I gave an order not to treat a bladder infection Terri had."
Attorney> "So when you made the decision not to treat Terri's bladder you, in effect, were making a decision to allow her to pass on?"
Michael Schiavo> " I was making a decision on what Terri would want"
Greta> "in that same day, we have two conflicting statements"
To: fabriclady
Lets hope he does MSNBC and Fox, he will feel a very tight noose when he's through.
This man could convict himself.
Yep just like Scotty boy did

After wading through this garbage, we'll all need one.
To: Mo1
Did ya hear Gretta read the part in 1993 when Michael refused to have the feeding tube removed? In his deposition he made two inconsistent statements -- one refusing to remove the feeding tube (saying he just couldn't do it to her) and the second in which he refused to treat her bladder infection. Huh?

Well you see, I have the peace of mind of being intellectually honest and consistent. Since I have been a member of FR I've seen threads where people have begged for your input and I've always been curious about that. Your statement above brings these verses to mind:
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, HE TAKETH THE WISE IN THEIR OWN CRAFTINESS.
And again, THE LORD KNOWETH THE THOUGHTS OF THE WISE, THAT THEY ARE IN VAIN.

With all these murdering husbands, Peterson, Shiavo etc., the one thing that comes to mind is:
888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888 GIRLS: CHOOSE WISELY!!! Choose a man after God's own heart, not a "religous" man as Michael claimed to be. Many wolves in sheeps clothing out there. Spend a bunch of time talking about all these issues...abortion, right to life, honoring your parents, how to raise your children. Don't wait till your forty to discuss the real important issues. Do it as you court the "prospective spouse".
Off my pulpit....

She's good , that's why we need to get the info about the complaints filed with Ashcroft to her.
I'll bet she can really open things up.

I hear you. I heard an interview with a medical person last week that said this was the most cruel way for a person to die. That her tongue would swell with the need for liquids, it made me ill to hear this. Those S.O.B.'s they are evil, evil men, how is this ever going to end, JP, I am really worried sick about this, I just keep praying for her and her dear family, MS and Felos just can't win this one, no way!

Whether Terri dies tonight or lives for many more years I'm glad she's not aware of what the people she loved are doing to eachother.

I liked the way LK kept reiterating if you lose in the Courts over and over, not to be redundant. And Felos just skimmed right past the court action he took today. I take that as a good sign.

What questions did she raise? I missed it and I can't stay up to catch the rerun later She brought up comments from MS's deposition from 1993 and his actions with doctors a year before on Terry's medical care.
Basically, that there are alot of unanswered questions about this case

I think Larry King is doing a good job.
I certainly give the CNN staff credit for putting in the videos, sporadically, of Terri's family talking....I thought that was terrific. Especially the takes on her mother.
They did a much better job than I expected and I loved it when Larry said CNN can take our cameras in tomorrow !! Something I never thought Larry would ask
To: NYer; TaxRelief
When death is imminent the sick person instinctively stops eating. For those at death's door, this is PERFECTLY NATURAL. This much is true, and I think it is the reason why the pro-death crowd keeps trying to say that starving is natural and painless. I can't vouch for pain, because I know my dad didn't feel well as he was dying. He did stop eating about a week before he passed away. HOWEVER, my dad was constantly thirsty! Many, many times a day, I can't even remember how frequently he asked, several times in an hour, every couple of hours. When he could no longer drink through a straw he could sip water off special sponges. We constantly had cool, wet washcloths for his head. Terri won't get water even if she is thirsty, when they disconnect her tube.
To: JustPiper
Yeah, and Terri never had a bedsore but she must die, and why bother with other states anyway? After all this isn't euthanasia. The proper term is MURDER.

I sure did, and what was it that he was going to say he did, and then stopped doing it? I like the Schindler's attorney Pat, she is as cool as a cucumber. Any idea whether LK will have the Schindler's and Pat on this week to rebut Felos and MS?

Yes, he started out by saying how the father would cut off her legs. Fortunately Felos added why he would cut off her legs - the father was asked if she had Gang Green would he anputate her legs and the father said yes. MS thought this was horrific and that this was his reason for never wanting to give Terris care over to her parents. Because they would amutate her legs rather than watch her die from Gang Green. What this imples is that MS would prefer to watch her die from Gang Green. This went right over the head of Larry King.
