Understand..I am a doctor, and I have been in these facilities. I'm not saying this is wrong and untrue, I'm saying, investigate. I think that there is plenty of reason to do so (I think they call it 'probable cause'). I want the truth behind this, and it should be a matter worth an acute and through investigation. Before I condemn my brethern I want to hear facts!

Would there be a conflict of interest when the lawyer is on the hospice board of the hospital that Terri is in AND that he is pro-euthanasia and in fact writes books on that subject? This is the lawyer supporting the husband's death wish for his wife.

What bothers me is that this woman is a prisoner of her husband for the last 12 years, denying her the care that could improve her happiness and her life. How very cruel to deny her the visits of the only people she loves, how cruel to limit her TV and radio, and to deny her even the smallest comforts. If that man loved her at all, he would want her life to be as pleasant as possible in her condition - but no, he just wants to kill her to show his love.

We have read novels by Robin Cook with plots similar to this - the victim is trapped. No one sees what is happening to her, no one believes and the corrupt plotters want her dead. Maybe we ought to get Robin Cook on this case.
