"The question for all of us is whether the cheaper price on the house is worth looking the other way on illegal immigration." I paid for a large part of college by working construction in the Summer, and I am not real happy that these jobs are mostly done by illegals now- with poor pay and no benefits.
BUT, I guess the real answer to your question depends on whether you are BUILDING the house, or BUYING the house...

Consider the level of craftsmanship (not) being put into these nifty particleboard and stucco McMansions.
Should the plumbing start leaking 5 years after a new house is built?
You get what you pay for.

I have talked to some white electricians and plumbers who say the Illegals are landscapers, masons, slab pourers, and were not concerned about it. In other words, they did make the argument about the Mexicans being the only ones who would do certain jobs for the money paid by the builder. They said they themselves were not threatened or concerned by it.
I figured they might have looked at it differently, but no.
