It is an insidious and sinister development in the medical care sector of society - one that essentially prepares the sick for death rather than support the battle for life...all in the name of "comfort" and "humaneness".

It prepares the dying for death.

You're just flat wrong about this.

It prepares the dying for death.

And just who pray tell defines this moment of "approaching" death? Is it the husband who awaits his monetary due? Is it the kids who stand to inherit the accounts? Is it perchance the doctor/hospice who get to decide where the organs are going?

I sense a blind faith in the opinions of doctors on the part of some. You know (I am sure) that medical experts will testify for both sides in a jury trial. Just as in this case - there are doctors on both sides - it is the judge who leaned toward the side of ending Terri's life. How convenient that he had personal dealings with Felos etc.

You're just flat wrong about this.

Well, I'd rather err on the side of life than death.
