I am surprised that some outside "big guns" haven't offered them top-notch legal assistance. I would imagine a case with this much publicity would be desirable for most attorneys. The only reason I can think of why this hasn't been touched is the politics of the entire situation. I suspect there is a great deal of political action behind the scenes that we are not privy to.

This does seem like a good time for some conservative attorneys to make a name for themselves, however they may be afraid of a backlash from the judges in that area.

Attorney for Husband of Brain-Damaged Woman Outraged at Jeb Bush
By Mitch Stacy Associated Press Writer
Published: Oct 22, 2003

CLEARWATER, Fla. (AP) - Legal scholars predicted Wednesday that Gov. Jeb Bush's intervention in a bitter right-to-die case involving a brain-damaged woman would be ruled unconstitutional, and the husband's lawyer angrily complained the woman was "abducted from her deathbed."

"It is so repugnant to so many provisions of Florida's constitution, we are all certain that it will be overturned," said George Felos, the attorney for Michael Schiavo.

Any news if Felos has refiled his latest case to Greer, which was dismissed on a technicality?

Where's Jesse Jackson when you need him? Where's the Hollywood crowd? Where's NOW?

I suppose if Terri had HIV though, instead of brain-damage, and was being starved to death, you wouldn't be able keep a lot of them out of it.
