Welcome aboard from lurkerdom. These are the kinds of threads and the kind of unified action that make FR a place apart on the web. For all it's flaws, I have never seen a more dedicated and caring group of people when it comes down to what's really important. Kinda gives you a sense of awe to be a part of it all.

What have we become when we use our courts to twist the constitution and laws of this once Christian nation, to justify breaking those laws? And, what have our courts become when they support such lawlessness? For over 2oo years our laws have been written and upheld by the governed, men of moral values and integrity. Throughout our history, our laws have developed and portrayed us as a loving and caring nation that defends the defenseless. Americanism and western civilization have become to be known as a way of life that is desired by most of the rest of the world. This is because our constitution and bill of rights ascribe specific rights, protections and responsibilities resulting in dignity and freedom for each and every one of us.

As a Compassionate and caring Christian American, I am completely appalled at the actions that Terri’s husband, his lawyers and the court has taken to handle a situation they didn’t like, that of eliminating a marriage, avoiding alimony and collecting any insurance by attempting to kill Terri. I am of the opinion that, in light of our constitution and laws, the husband could and should be charged with attempted murder and the attorneys, judge and others including those who followed the judge’s ruling should be charged as accessories to attempted murder.

Further, any guardianship, insurance and what may be left of the funds for Terri’s care should be removed from the husband’s control if they have not already been. The funds need to finally be used to carry out the care that was previously ordered by the court. And, the husband should be required to fully support Terri for as long as she lives and return all funds not used to care for her in the past.

The judgment he obtained should be thrown out, it should not be allowed to stand so that it could be used to set a precedent for future court cases of this or any other nature. As the judgment stands, it could possibly be used for the furtherance of the Kevorkian crowds' agenda.

Our system works because it is the governed who decide on the laws by which they will be governed. When the governed write righteous laws, it motivates men of good will to passionately work to uphold those laws and provide justice for all of our citizens.

But when the immoral are given control of interpreting those laws, they will misrepresent, manipulate and use our laws to complete their immoral deeds. When this happens, men of good will need to fight to keep freedom free. This is what has just occurred throughout this nation in regard to Terri’s plight.

I thank God for having prompted our caring and compassionate citizens to take action. I also thank Governor Bush, for the loving, quick and courageous actions which he took to turn around an injustice and finally accomplish what he knew was the right thing to do.

I ask now; will all of you, take action to show that we true Americans will not let this distortion of our laws and justice system go unpunished? Will you, encourage Governor Bush as Florida’s Chief Executive, and Florida’s District Attorney to charge the husband of Terri, his lawyers, the judge and any others involved in taking action to end Terri’s life, with breaking our laws when they so blatantly attempted to murder one of our defenseless citizens?

It's my understanding that a Guardian Ad Litum is to be appointed - I believe sometime today. The appointment is to be made by the ciruit court, but NOT Greer. Still not sure if this totally removes MS from the picture, but at least he won't be calling the shots.

They just went off the air-must have been on for 15 mins or so. The entire family spoke-well, not sure about the Mother-but for sure the sister, brother and father.

Their heartfelt thanks to radio host Glen Beck and all of the people across this nation made me weep. They say this effort saved their dtrs. life. The father whispered into his dtr's ears that she was about to get a milkshake....for now one that she could handle but later a much better one! Terri responded with a huge smile...they love Gov Bush...could not emphasize enough his tenderness and support for them...especially at their mtg with him. They are afraid of upcoming court battles (after all-this has been their life). They were so wonderful....ya can't help but cry out for joy.

Our Father in heaven gave us a miracle...when he rounds up the troops..........LOOK OUT!

I love Psalm 37 in which is one of my favorite verses:
"Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him: do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes."
"The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them, but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming."

By the way, if Martin Sheen plays Judge Greer, when he pronounces his judgement that "NO ONE is to feed Terri!" They could have his poorly fit dentures fly out of his mouth for dramatic effect.
