Just a little more insight into the kind of scum Michael Schiavo is. No matter what, this SOB cannot be allowed to walk scott free, fat and happy! He is always going to be like a convicted CHILD MOLESTER......" SORRY, you are NOT WELCOME ON OUR STREET or in OUR COMMUNITY"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With Byrd running for the U.S. Senate, who knows what he is thinking? He couldn't be thinking about how he could win the GOP Senate nomination at a time like this, you don't think?
He's toast.

Yeah, the Pope was conspicuously absent in this. He has not hesitated, in the past, to plea for the lives of the condemned in this country.I know he's been ill lately, but his silence in this matter is just a shame. And there's no good excuse for the Catholic leadership (for lack of a better description) here.
Much as I can't stand the Catholic leadership, I do like this Pope and pray for his health.

But he didn't say he was going to introduce a bill. Also, notice how selective the quoting is.
Maybe this is a piece of shoddy journalism that was fueled by internet gossip...who knows?
To: WackySam
How could he know that he would support it if he hadn't read it? Good point.

The only thing that will get the church's attention is the withholding of tithes.Well, the Catholic church possibly. My church is doing everything it can.
Hey, maybe we can take up a collection and bribe the American Bishops to DO SOMETHING FOR ONE OF THEIR FLOCK!!!
I will never ever get over the fact that a dying woman was denied Holy Communion/last rites in America!!!

"Because he is on the Florida Hospice Board of Directors." The head of the Senate who blocked this bill is on the board of directors at the hospice? This stinks more all the time!

Meanwhile, at the Pinellas Park hospice where Terri Schiavo is being cared for, her family said Terri Schiavo appears to be in stable condition. -- wrote VICKIE CHACHERE for the
Associated Press.
Why not shorten "being cared for" to a Newspeak term like becfor so that it retains more meaning of its three words than the phrase used above represents what is currently being inflicted upon terri.

I had wondered if there were people who knew Schiavo from his early years in PA. I wish they would write about their experiences with him back then and tell us just when he lost his soul and why.
I also wonder how his Clearwater neighbors feel about him.
To: viaveritasvita
Please let's not get into my church is doing more than your church.
Obviously, no one has done "enough" or Terri wouldn't be suffering this cruel, demeaning fate.

To support pro abortion candidates and causes (Schwarzenegger for gov of CA) and to let the democrats crap all over our values and our families. I am telling you Saundra, this whole fiasco in FLORIDA is scaring the ba-jeebers out of me!! With Arnold in now as our Governor, he would be one to toss this aside too.......Republicans without backbones on moral and ethical issues, are SCARY. I thought Jeb DID have backbone though......guess not.

I believe she WAS allowed the Sacrament of Holy Unction but not to receive communion because ot would have involved "feeding" her.

We have no-kill shelters for animals. Are we going to need them soon for humans too?

I was just saying that in every field -- including some aspects of organized religion -- money is the driving force far too often.
To: pollywog
I'm not sure what Arnold would do if confronted with the same situation. Given his background, (coming from the land that "euthanized" millions) he might actually pleasently surprise us.
Never can tell.

I also wonder if there are any of HIS SUPPORTERS outside walking! If he DID have neighbors and friends, I bet they will be few and far between now!!!!
To: Theodore R.
Saying that Michael Schiavo has lost his soul is not "judging," which the Bible warns against. It is a merely patently obvious fact that anyone should be able to see. "Monster" is too gentle of a term for this creature.
To: Avoiding_Sulla
Is this yet an element you're addressing in your great presentation of conservative mores? Not separately. It is currently an adjunct to the discussion of abortion. I may redraft that one because of the need to generalize the issue into one of general life and death, but I am depending upon feedback to determine if the approaches I am taking are effective.
To: isrul
Arnold is from Austria, not Germany.
