Your family reunions must be fun. ;->

Think SNL's "Dysfunctional Family Christmas." Right now, sisters #2 and #3 aren't speaking. Sisters #4 & #5 are squabbling. And, of course, they call me to take sides & I won't--then sisters #1, #2, #3 & #4 don't speak to me.

Yes, this moment could be the very apex of Boston sports in modern history.

This is the biggest sporting event to occur in my lifetime (23 yrs) to date. (Okay, maybe since US beat USSR hockey.) I was explaining to people why that was and it wasn't until reason #8 that I mentioned that Roger Clemens played a few games for the Red Sox once upon a time.

The idea that it was a threat to hit more people in the head started with the Fox announcers, and went through the media unchallenged

As dumb as it was for Zimmer to charge at Pedro, it was equally dumb for Pedro to point at his head on national television after a pitch that was thought by many to be aimed at Karim Garcia's head. If both sides would agree to those two points, the dispute would die down.

Yankee fans are like the kids who ALWAYS get EVERYTHING they want for Christmas. They believe in Santa Claus, but they are just spoiled brats of parents with lots of dough.

Good lord I don't have it NEAR as bad. *L* Just a bit of nickname calling here and there. Course when we were growing up brother #2 told me once when I had asked him why he picked on me 'Cause it's my job'.

The first time I really paid attention to Clemons is when he struck out 19 or 20 batters. I was on my way home from teaching Real Estate Law at Chaffey College when I heard the report. I heard the Twilight Zone music in my head because that night on the show MOONLIGHTING, one of the characters was named Roger Clemons.

Oh, you mean Bucky F***in' Dent? :)

I don't have a dog in this fight, I'm just happy the Braves lost (my in-laws are Braves fans and far too smug about it considering their post-season record) and sad we won't get to see a Cubs/Sox series. I guess I'd like to see the Sox win, just because they're playing the Yankees. I just want a game good enough to make listening to sports radio interesting on my 4-hour drive to Macon tomorrow. :)
