An English professor at Iowa State University warned students that they might get dismissed from the class if they argue against abortion or criticize the Black Lives Matter movement, according to her syllabus.
The syllabus, which was obtained by Young Americas Foundation, was written by professor Chloe Clark, a 2016 Iowa State University graduate, for students who will be attending her English 250 class. The student who sent the syllabus to the organization wanted to remain anonymous, fearing retribution.
Clark notified students that othering is prohibited in her class, as well as any topic that takes at its base that one side doesnt deserve the same basic human rights. Examples for the latter, according to the professor, include pro-life arguments and arguments against gay marriage and the Black Lives Matter movement.
By "Pro-Choice" is meant "pro-abortion". Sounds like Iowa State needs at least one retroactive abortion.
It looks like Dr. Rachel Levine with dark hair.
Great quote.
College: One a place of thought and discovery, now nothing more than communist reeducation camps.
I think as a ‘state employee’, she might want to review the state standards and prepare for either changing her opinion or moving to another state.
She’s against “monstering” and “othering” - whatever that is.
Another example where the more advanced degrees you obtain in the modern liberal arts the more uneducated & illiterate you become.
I was an English Literature major at Penn State back in the 1980s, and this nonsense was just getting started back then. Hard to believe I emerged unscathed.
Anyway, some of the liberal female professors got together to form an organization they named AWE: Association of Women in English.
An iconoclastic male student decided to lampoon it by putting up posters depicting an organization called APE: Association of Persons in English, illustrated with a drawing of an ape eating a banana.
The feminists in the English Department were not amused.
If Dr. Rachel Levine had a son.
YES!!! Brilliant!!
Ahh!!!!!
Just because you can’t get sex doesn’t mean you have to ruin everybody else’s lives!!!!!
And I wouldn’t fool around with her if I was on a deserted island and knew I would never get off and she was the only other creature there.
Why would a 200-level English class have anything to do with abortion or BLM anyway?
I guess when youre a hammer everything looks like a nail.
Never happen.
Imagine a world with competent apolitical teachers and competition for jobs based on results.
They never are.
Makes me want to go back to college and sign up for a few classes. I could have a lot of fun with these types and probably make some $ when i won the lawsuits....
Do it........we’re all behind ya.......LOL
Like she would ever need an abortion.
A drunk bum wouldn’t hit that.
Sounds like she’s begging for a lawsuit. Collecting money for a service, then adding additional terms of service after the fact. AND in a politically discriminatory way. Always wanted to own me a little college.
