Was not CBS caught faking Chevrolet truck “explosions” years back?

Was not CBS caught faking Chevrolet truck explosions years back? I thought that was NBC, but they're both equally bad.

Back then all three networks, ABC, NBC and CBS were using fake videos to influence the public.

I thought it was NBC that did that, though they pretty much are all the same at this point in time.

That was NBC faking Ford Pintos exploding from rear impact.

That was NBC.
The local fire dept (here in Hendricks County Indiana) was hired to standby for the whole thing and alerted GM that the video was faked via using model rocket engines to ignite the fuel tank.
