I thought that was NBC, but they're both equally bad.

Back then all three networks, ABC, NBC and CBS were using fake videos to influence the public.

That was NBC.
The local fire dept (here in Hendricks County Indiana) was hired to standby for the whole thing and alerted GM that the video was faked via using model rocket engines to ignite the fuel tank.
