Power Women Breakfast Washington, DC: The Clinton campaign’s communications director didn’t think it would be “a big deal to elect the first woman president” – until they tried it.
Democratic political veteran Jennifer Palmieri said Thursday that what she learned trying to elect the first female president as Hillary Clinton’s communications director in 2016 was that our political and social system is “broken.”
“I wanted her to be the first woman president, but she’s going to be the woman who showed us that it’s all broken,” Palmieri said at TheWrap’s Power Women Breakfast in Washington, D.C. “I feel like that was her mission, as heartbreaking and unfair as it is.”
She added: “I did not think it was going to be be hard or a big deal to elect the first woman president … I just did not appreciate how deep some of the perceptions that we have of women are.”

In 2018 we had two Republican women Senators. One of them was dead-set against Kavenaugh and proceeded to vote against him, based on the OBVIOUS BS that was being said to prevent his confirmation, while the other played Drama Queen for a week. We also had 49 Republican men Senators. They all saw through the scam and voted for Kavenaugh with virtually no drama.
If women want to be treated EQUALLY in the political world, at least by us, then they can start by putting the country BEFORE their sisterhood - at least the ones with enough sense to be Republicans.
I know. I had forgotten.

The “Hoaxtroversy” is our corrupt establishment media’s latest way to pretend bigotry is still a major problem in America. Which means that the media’s need to manufacture a hoaxtroversy (a controversy that proves to be a hoax) actually serves as yet one more slice of proof of just how little racism, sexism, and homophobia exists in this country.

Actually, the two nominees from their respective parties in 2016 illustrated just how badly our system is broken. And I would turn to the parties themselves for the definition of broken vs working properly.
