A New York Times op-ed allegedly written by a senior Trump administration official has set the internet ablaze. Its headline: "I am part of the resistance inside the Trump administration." Its premise: A group of Trump appointees is working from the inside to stop the president from fulfilling the parts of his agenda they disagree with.
Obviously, the writer and other like-minded higher-ups are not part of the "resistance" that's marching in the streets protesting.
The piece suggests America is currently under a "two-track presidency." If President Donald Trump wants to do something the people in his administration think is good, they go along with it. If he wants to do something they think is bad, they find ways around it. This is in keeping with what the Bob Woodward book excerpt revealed: Senior officials are taking things off Trump's desk to keep him from seeing them.
Nobody who's part of the real resistance should be celebrating this. If you work in this administration and carry out any part of Trump's agenda, you are enabling him, not undermining him. If we have a president so incompetent that his most trusted advisers have to play peekaboo to preserve national security, then those people should be working to get him out of office, not just spare us from his cruelest impulses.
The op-ed says Trump is anti-trade and anti-democratic. His leadership is characterized as "impetuous, adversarial, petty and ineffective." It says he goes on long, repetitive rants and makes "half-baked, ill-informed and occasionally reckless decisions." It says these "unsung heroes" are protecting America from Trump's "erratic behavior."
If they really believe there's a need to subvert the president to protect the country, they should be getting this person out of the White House....

Seems about right.
I think obviously, what’s been missing and sorely needed in this country for a long time is a tradition whereby anytime the House has 1 more member from the party different than the party of the President, impeachment should be SOP!
That way there would be no need to worry or get fussy about it.
This time Democrats do the deed.
When the time is right, then Republicans can crow.
See. Lets make this fun.
Who says that this person is really an official in the Trump Administration?
Come on......
The Left is fully capable of pretending to be an official in the WH.
Why is it that no one is looking at this as a possibility?
Good grief. Hey look at me. I’m a hero. Give me a medal.
My hunch too. They have nothing on Trump so they invent rumors and hysteria
I'm not sure why this is not being seen as the crime that it most certainly is. It's one thing for an advisor to try to sway the President in one way or another, that is their job. On the other hand for someone or a group of people to be undermining the President is a direct threat to our national security. This person simply does not have the authority to be doing what they claim to be doing. Furthermore the NY Times is not protected by the first amendment when it comes to hiding the identity of someone who is admitting to undermining the role of the commander n chief and thus a direct threat to our national security.
The US Marshals should be silently getting a warrant to serve on the NY Times that will compel them to identify this person or persons.
What if the person who wrote this piece is carrying the nuclear football? What happens if we are attacked and this person denies critical information to the President?
No question the NY Times should be served a warrant and forced to identify this person. At that point a warrant for the arrest of this individual and anyone connected with this subversive activity.
The NY Slimes may have written the entire so called editorial themselves as opposed to an official in the White House. I recall a much different paper many years ago.
Has to be a “gay guy” or a pedophile.
I have a pretty good ear, and have heard the thing read on the radio by a couple of different hosts, and it comes off as completely fabricated by someone trying to sound “on the inside”, but really isn’t.
That's what committee chairmen had to do with congressman Ron Dellums the unregistered agent of Cuba.
Ghost of McCain wrote the op-ed
How true you are , as was the attack texts prior
Next week expect MC Lettuce and Usama together holding up a current NY Times
There are too many civil service punks in DC who get away with lying, leaking, plus flat out creating lies/false stories about those they are supposed to serve. These liars are very creative. Here in Nashville one VA nurse made up a series of lies about me and even claimed my wife said X. Fact is my wife never went there with me back then. I quit the damn VA years back as they will kill you. Senior Vets, even CAT 1’s with SMC like I am, can do much better with BCBS Diamond Advantage for $217 a month. What is $500 total a month for medicine, surgeries, etc.? I had two private MD’s who had worked at VA’s tell me the VA would kill me.

Most of us knew this was going on from the beginning
I can’t help but speculate that
this was written by John McClain
and was released upon his death.
In the 1930s, the New York Times paid Walter Duranty to lie about (ie: deny the existence of) Josef Stalins genocide in Ukraine. The New York Times has been a completely dishonest purveyor of leftist propaganda for longer than you have been alive.
