...we are under no obligation to grant them US citizenship simply because their parents broke the law and I frankly don’t think that we should. If we want to make a deal on not deporting them, that’s one thing. But amnesty? Citizenship? That’s a whole different matter.

I agree with all you said there! However, all who violate ANY criminal laws should be deported and not allowed to return.

Amendment XIV

Section 1.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.

There it is. I'm not a constitutional scholar but it seems like an amendment to the Constitution is needed. Otherwise if you're born here you're a citizen.
