I think Trump's unapologetic in-your-face Tweets are effective in reaching out to young population, rebelling against establishment. If the messages were measured and polished, it may not have real appeal to youth.

They're starting to tune in over at NR, so I suppose there's hope that somebody in dinosaur politics is paying attention to what's really going on in the country. What CNN really did was simply another manifestation of old media attempting to control, channel, and dominate the new, and it isn't going to go down like that. They're stuck in the mold of dial-up BBS's and magisterial pronunciamentos from alphabet networks. The real world has moved on, in fact, it moved on some time ago.

This is still partly a country of free men and women who loathe political correctness, despise authoritarian ukases from the unelected and unaccountable, and see through the paper-thin pretensions of a self-nominated political class. It isn't even partisan. Can anyone imagine this resistance coalescing around the likes of Jeb Bush? I don't think so.

The revolution everyone was straining to spot coming from the Left is coming from the Right instead. That's going to be very hard for a lot of preconceptions in the "informed" media, and there will be some bruised feelings and very likely a few bruised heads as well. Long time coming, but it was inevitable, and it's here.

1. I’m jealous, you beat me to the punch with this article.

2. I think this is the first article to illustrate the generational backlash the Millenials will face as the true impacts of their snowflake, safe space, quasi-fascist attitudes settle in on the following generation.

The money quote for me is the authors observation that CNN and their ilk:

“...have ignored the reactionary post-Millennials who, despite holding liberal values on many issues, voted en masse for Trump. (A Hispanic Heritage Foundation study backed up the voting data, which was limited to only the oldest of Gen Z. Their findings: of 50,000 teenagers, Trump would beat Clinton by 15 percent.)”

This is as a significant generational political shift as that which occurred between the baby boomers and Gen X in the late 70s and 80s.

The last thing we need is another flavor of snowflakes. We don’t need more intelligent adults, not more namby-pamby, basement-dwelling lazy cowards.

“CNN Is Breeding a Post-Millennial Generation”

Very creepy! I’ll bet the Church of Scientology is trying to do the same thing. They had better not leave one of their creations on my doorstep.

I was riding the local Greenway yesterday and saw a young man, probably in his 20’s, jogging while wearing a Trump shirt. I’m in Trump country but the media is wrong about young people not liking Trump.

The Facebook comments were important. We think FB is important because old people. Young people have a FB page that they set up when they were in 7th grade and haven’t used it since high school. Reddit is a bigger deal now...and their are other platforms they use they haven’t told us old people about yet!

I would say that Gamergate turned a generation of millenials into Trump supporters. Most people aren't even aware of this, but teen gamers noticed and it was a big deal. My son turned 18 just in time to vote for Trump.

Now, my daughter, (15) is following the CNN debacle on the internet. At first she was attracted to the funny memes, she didn't care about the politics. But now, it is having the same effect on her as Gamergate on my son. The old tv watching, newspaper reading generations are lost, but the next gens are turning right. MAGA
