On the list of surprising visitors calling on president-elect Donald Trump last week, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas ranks right up there with alleged Secretary of State candidate Mitt Romney.
While Romney who called Trump a phony and talked openly about derailing his candidacy during the campaign had an actual job attached to the meeting with his former nemesis on Saturday, Cruzs visit was billed as more of a drop-by.
Its true that after the name-calling between Cruz and Trump (who tagged him Lyin Ted) during the primary campaign; after Trumps derogatory comments about Cruzs wife; after Trumps suggestion that Cruzs father had a role in the JFK assassination; and after Cruz neglected to endorse Trump at the Republican National convention, they did in the end come together. In September, Cruz finally endorsed Trump and campaigned for him....

TX senatorial appointments are usually for no more than six months. In this case, it may be for the whole two years in that it is the last third of the Senate term.
Feel better now?
You shouldn’t, but I bet that you do. ;^)
I doubt that you even understand what I wrote. LOL
Cruz may eventually get the nod but I don’t think it will be this first nominee to the SCOTUS; they have a list of 21 candidates, 2 at the top who are most likely to be picked.
I saw some article on an Indian (as in ancestry from India) guy, I guess he’s a solid conservative. So, there are a number of possibilities.
Not this time, Cruz won’t be moving to the front of the line. Maybe next time.
Have reviewed the list DT issued and Cruz doesn't seem to be on it...
The President-elect could nominate me if he wanted to. That list is merely examples of the types of people he might put forward.
Oh yeah, that’s a strong argument.
“It is unknown if his mother was a citizen when Ted was born.”
No it’s not, she was born in the U.S., so she’s always been a U.S. citizen.
“She qualified for expedited Canadian citizen since her husband had taken out Canadian citizenship.”
False. Her husband wanted to apply for Canadian citizenship, but neither of them lived in Canada long enough to qualify even if they wanted it, and neither of them were ever Canadian citizens.
“There is also some question if she was even legally married to Teds Dad.”
I doubt it, but even if that were true, it would not affect her child’s citizenship status.
“There is some evidence showing she took Canadian citizen.”
What evidence?
Meh, who cares? That’s their business a lot more than it is mine or anyone else around here. If they have worked out some sort of working relationship, it’s apparent that they are not in some unholy blood feud like certain posters might like to imagine.
It a better one than you deserve.
Little ray of sunshine, aren’t you?
Roger that...
Why yes, I am diddums; unlike you.
There is some evidence showing she took Canadian citizen.
I think they say She and Rafael voted in Canadian elections. That’s for a starters.
(I’m not really into the “Is TC a US citizen debate”; just adding in here what I’ve heard)
“How is Heidi Cruz mentally ill?”
If it qualifies, I believe Heidi Cruz was found once sitting near the side of the road by the police, I heard it’s mentioned in Ted Cruz’s book.
Ted Cruz is okay but I don’t think he is especially apt to govern, he has not had a real governing position like a Perry, Walker, Reagan, etc. Leadership; it’s mostly been committee rooms and able to utter platitudes.
I think he can grandstand, act like “Mr. Constitution”; all of this is good but I don’t think he has qualities that make him an ideal candidate,
A lot of what he says, sounds like Rush Limbaugh, not real original.
I think they say She and Rafael voted in Canadian elections.

To my understanding that comes from their names being on a list of residents which the
Canadain Gov’t took every so many years. The list included all residents at each address,
citizen or not.
I come to this site because I am a conservative. And I can disagree without telling people things like “why do you even come here”. I have been coming here since the late 1990’s. Btw I voted for DJT and hoping he does great.
One reason not: loss of the Senate to the Democrats
