We laid to rest a fine officer, shot in the line of duty, on Mon.
He had been a county sheriff and then a city officer.
He was due to retire next Feb.
Our community is in mourning and will be for quite some time.
I am always saddened by the loss of 1 LEO. Soon, they will have the respect they deserve from the Federal government......
