Hillary Clinton noted there are just 50 days before voters head to the polls, but thats not stopping her from apparently laying low for the next 6 of them.
Clinton held a rally at Temple University today, and, according to her public schedule posted at HillarySpeeches.com, she has nothing public planned until the first presidential debate on September 26th.
Hillary will appear on The Tonight Show this evening in a segment that was filmed last week.
According to the schedule, over the next 6 days, Clintons running mate Tim Kaine will hold three events, and Kaines wife will appear at three, as well.
As of now, Chelsea Clinton will be holding an event on Thursday in Toledo, Ohio.
But neither Hillary nor Bill Clinton currently have any announced events.
Hillary is scheduled to appear in Hempstead, New York at the first presidential debate with Donald Trump on September 26th.
So is she giving up, or mailing it in?
UPDATE: Late Monday afternoon, Clintons schedule was updated to include an Orlando, Florida rally on Wednesday, September 21. Chelsea Clinton also added two events in Michigan.
Playing GOLF with Obama?? I mean, if he could spend more time golfing than running the USA, maybe she is learning how to play golf and be president at the same time...
I’m surprised she is skipping fundraisers, but it doesn’t surprise me that she’s skipping public appearances.
The more she stays out of sight, the better her poll numbers are. She is a phantom candidate yet is still ahead in most national polls. Why bother going out among the great unwashed if you can hold your own by laying low?
George Thoroughgood, One bourbon, one scotch, one beer
And eyeball muscle exercise. For the close ups.
Don't want her throwing the ol' stink eye out there.
George Thorougood. I listen to it all the time
A major contender on my “alternate national anthem” list.
Give her a break. She’s trying not to die before the debate.
So do I. I expext an announcement any time now. We interrupt this program.....
Is “Mothers Of The Movement” those moms who did such a good job raising their kids that they had to be shot by cops?
Provigil and lots of other meds right before it begins.
Most of us probably see this the way your comment reads, and therein lies danger: we expect Hillary to be almost dead and Trump to be high energy. What if she is not?
Hillary knows the stakes, and is a willful beast. She will do anything to pump herself up — transfusions, fluids, stimulants, sheer willpower — even if it kills her later. The plan will be to deliver at least a few minutes of good video. Playing her highlights and Trump’s lowlights in a loop, the media will declare her the Comeback Kid, with all the momentum, etc. If Trump defends himself or does well, the story will be how he brutalized a poor sick woman, like the crass barbarian he is.
I rather the expectation be that Hillary will come out like Mike Tyson in his prime (a serious and articulate version), spouting statistics and touting her experience, while baiting Trump into precipitous comments the media can hype. To win, she needs to show sustained high energy and mop the floor with Trump. After all, he’s never even claimed to be much of a debater, and she’s the smartest woman in the world...
Wait....wasn’t it the other way around? Didn’t her people issue the list of questions they will be permitted to pose to the Queen?
That witch will be snorting street meth before this is over.
Can go either way..as long as Queen Hillary gets the questions she can rehearse them over and over and over again
The debate won’t happen. She can’t do it. They would have to pump her so full of pharmaceuticals get her to stay awake for an entire hour and a half that her pupils would look like dinner plates. She will never face him in person. He would destroy her just by standing up for the entire time.
HRC: “Whatever it takes”!
Yes, it will be similar to when Snarly Fiorina launched into her “fingernails down the chalkboard” sanctimonious remarks regarding looking at that horrible face! Totally rehearsed (and unsuccessful!).
excellent points.
