There's Trump-Related Attrition at the RNC

At least eight staffers have left the Republican National Committee at least in part due to discomfort over the party's nomination of Donald Trump for president.

Politico reported Wednesday that deputy press secretary James Hewitt, spokesman Fred Brown, director of Hispanic media Ruth Guerra and research analysts Lars Trautman and Colin Spence have left in recent months, citing Trump as a reason for their departure.

"Personally I wasn't comfortable working to elect him," Spence told Politico.

At least three other staffers have also left, Politico reported, citing Trump as contributing to their resignations. A total of 11 staffers have left the RNC since March, the news outlet reported. (excerpted from cnn source)

Well, at least they're leaving voluntarily, not because it was revealed that they colluded to rig an entire primary system.

As awful as the RNC has been at everything for so long, it's really not a negative reflection on Trump that he is chasing some of them. ......

American political parties have always tended to be far more social aggregates than bastions of a particular ideology. As a student of history, I have no problem with that. But many of those calling attention to their uncompromising opposition to Trump act as though they are the only reasonable faction in the Republican Party. They show an arrogant refusal to even listen to what most of us consider a really compelling case to back Donald Trump.

They act, in short, as though they have some ownership rights in the organizational structure; that they, not the rest of us, have a special role, and the Party itself must adhere to their direction. Is it unreasonable, after observing the tantrums that such have been displaying to delight the anti-Republican mass media, and the knee-jerk Leftist, intellectual poseurs, in academia, to conclude that some of these folk never had a real interest in America or the Republican Party as an actual large gathering of millions of Americans; but that they are parasites sucking at the vitals of the rest of us; an infestation that we would be well rid of, because they do not accept the rules even of elemental fairness.

They do not debate us; they pontificate, and iterate slogans without reason; denunciations without logic; total animosity to the value system that once made us the envy of the world.

To borrow, conceptually from John Paul Jones:

Damn the lies & Damn the liars! Elect Trump! Full speed ahead!

Those Republican parasites fit in very well with all the quaint fantasies of the Left; but they are too intellectually dysfunctional to have any place formulating or directing an American future. When Trump demonstrates their "stupidity" he is right on target.
