That’s a major stink-bomb thrown into the Democrats’ camp. The cultural-Marxist Left has for years been hard at work inventing a succession of provocations designed to paint ordinary Americans and the country’s traditions as racist, sexist, homophobic, bigoted, intolerant, you name it – when there is a real villain out there which would bleed the Left just as dry as the Right, and rather than recognize that threat they’ve made excuses for it and played along with the fiction that vigilance against sharia Islam and the creeping civilizational jihad infecting Western countries is another form of bigotry.
Well, now with Orlando we see that sharia Islam and the gay community are not going to coexist. And you can’t blame this on Christian conservatives, and you can’t blame it on Donald Trump, and you can’t blame it on guns. The Left is going to have to choose. Will it choose to preserve Western civilization, which stands for human liberty and some concept of public virtue based in the Judeo-Christian tradition, or will it abandon that civilization and stand by as Islam fills the void?

I would gladly vote for Trump with Cruz as VP.
Trust probably matters to TRUMP. That sure guarantees Cruz stays stranded at the station.
TRUMP has no reason to pick Cruz, who brings him nothing, is despised in the Senate, with no discernable advantage legislatively, and certainly nothing whatsoever, relationally speaking, to the Hill. The RINO’s despise the Cruz grandstanding as much as I do.
Sessions, I hope. He has everything TRUMP actually needs.
Sessions is about the same age as Trump and if Trump can’t carry Alabama this is all for naught.

I know you are right about Alabama, but the shoe still fits Sessions best, on matters of competence, political gravitas and earned collegial respect of the US Senate, legislative influence, issue research expert, loyalty, lack of political ambition, kept his head down and on his work, etc.
Same could be said about TEXAS. Unless they are overtaken by blue, TEXAS should be able to decide they don’t want to become a sanctuary state and will vote for TRUMP.

Let me tell ya, Trump can carry Alabama without sessions.

Well, if it’s Rubio by some default, at least the RINO Establishment thought him to be their “Golden Boy”, and Florida matters, so there’s that.
Mostly, Cruz is remembered as being Canadian, and it stuck.
Scuttlebutt right now is Rubio will renege on his pledge to retire from the Senate and run again. He’s got two weeks to decide.
