Ted Cruz just crushed Donald Trump in Washington State GOP delegates [dirty tricks]
The Week ^ | May 23, 2016 | Peter Weber

Posted on 05/24/2016 12:49:36 PM PDT by UMCRevMom@aol.com

Washington State holds its Republican primary on Tuesday, and with one candidate left in the race, there's not too much drama about the outcome. But in a twist — and what would the 2016 race be without a twist? — 40 of Washington's 41 delegates selected Saturday to attend the Republican National Convention in July are Ted Cruz partisans. Cruz supporters outnumbered Donald Trump supporters at the state GOP convention in Pasco, and they were better organized, pushing through the Cruz slate of delegates over occasional protests from Trump backers, who noted repeatedly that Cruz is no longer in the race.

Among the Trump supporters who did not get elected a national delegate is Trump state campaign chairman Don Benton, a Washington State senator. Benton predicted that the Cruz delegates will come around to supporting Trump — in fact, ACCORDING TO STATE PARTY RULES, they have to VOTE FOR TRUMP at the convention, assuming Trump wins the primary on Tuesday. But the Republicans in Washington State are not yet unified, The Seattle Times reports, and several candidates for statewide office are either studiously not saying if they will support Trump, like gubernatorial candidate Bill Bryant, or saying they won't. "Do you think I enjoy this? Not supporting the nominee?" said Chris Vance, a GOP candidate for U.S. Senate. "It's unpleasant."

>>Why would we want to jump on a train with people who call us Lucifer’s minions? I may yet vote for Trump if he wins the nomination (even though he is not a conservative)and am starting warm to the idea. But believe me if I do, I will not be jumping on any train with the likes of people like you.

Let the reader take note: There are two kinds of Cruz supporters: Globalists and those who truly couldn’t see him for what he is.

Globalists ARE Lucifer’s minions.
Other Cruz supporters have had the TRUTH about him repeated over and over again here. Long ago, it was obvious to any genuine patriot, and many many former Cruz supporters were welcomed to our Trump Family.

Those who persist in supporting Cruz at this point are suspected professional agitators.

CityCenter: Your vote is a personal decision.

True patriots will NEVER stop speaking truth to placate or “tickle the ears” with soft PC words.

Stupid little n00b;

Your post is stupid, not clever, not funny, and just plain old STUPID!

HORSE MANURE.

I treated you with a lot more respect than you treated me. Guess you can’t judge people by the candidate they support.

Wow. And people around here wonder why so many of the Cruz folks don’t like Trump. When he’s got supporters making all these comments, I can see why.

>>You’re so right. Been agitating on the free republic since 1998. At one time the free republic was about ideas. I guess it is now about purity of thought. I really was not aware that the free republic was now 100% Trump. If that is the case, then FR has lost its way. Since my political observations are no longer welcome, I’ll try to refrain from commenting on those types of issues u til I learn to conform. Is there a list somewhere of positions I need to hold on other topics also?

Sarcasm, if that was your intent, is unhelpful. This nation is at the dangerous precipice of survival, spiritually, economically, politically, and culturally.

Tyrants do not give up power willingly. Patriots need to gather whatever inner courage they may have, and ready themselves for whatever the Tyrant has in store.

FR has NOT lost its way. It welcomes patriots whose goals match the owner’s well-stated goals.

That doesn’t mean anyone can come on to Jim’s website and have 100% free license to post ideas that work against his stated goals.

Hopefully, patriots with a genuine desire to restore this nation, will unify and move toward that goal. Donald John Trump is our Leader.

ALL patriots who share this desire will support him 100%.

As another FReeper has so succinctly said:

Either get behind Trump or get out of the way. We have a nation to save!!!

Thank you.

Sarcasm is generally witty.

That was just petulance.

>>Trump supporters need to be building bridges not burning them by insulting former Cruz supporters.

The ramp onto the Trump Train is always operational, warm, and welcoming. The invitation to climb aboard stands.

We do NOT need to accommodate current Cruz supporters. As patriots, it is our DUTY to expose lies and deception where we see it and help others to see it as well.

The deception has been well documented. Those who persist in categorizing it otherwise makes the true intent of those posters suspect.

Thank you.

“No, if he had REALLY stood down, he would NOT be pulling this crap.”

How, on Earth, is standing up to RINOs crap?

Arnold just abdicated putting reliable conservatives on the platform.

Again, this has ZERO to do with the presidential nomination.

“And, I’m sorry, it’s not because of carpetbaggers. Rick Perry, anyone? What? He’s from the upper west side of Manhattan?!”

Nope. He turned scalawag, for whatever reason, which I see as an increasing trend in the South. I fear that the Texas I grew up in is getting displaced by death and outsiders. It was just getting into high gear in the 1980s, and has only gotten worse.

The state just isn’t what she used to be, sort of like the nation. I am doing some grinding, difficult physical labor at an age when I should have been contemplating retirement. I find that I can work circles around people young enough to be my grandchildren. Looking at America now is like looking at a soft fruit deliquesce. On the other hand, Trump is winning because he harks back to what we were just a few decades ago.

Yes, Rush has always predicted that Texas might go blue. But, on the other hand, Perry is NOT a carpetbagger. You guys have to deal with the fact that some of your own are backstabbers.

Here in NYC, conservatives - who are on the forefront of years of abuse and stalwart consistency on the subjects of abortion, the Consitution, et al - are trying to change the culture without any belief that it can be done. Can you say the same of Texans?

“You guys have to deal with the fact that some of your own are backstabbers.”

Well, technically they are not mine since I haven’t voted in Texas since 1990. You are quite correct though that Texas has produced some serious stinkers, including oily Felito.

The worst part about it is that two political machines dominate Texas right now. The still powerful LBJ machine, and the Bush machine. Dreadful, although Trump has certainly put cracks in the Bush machine curtainwall. Perhaps it can be brought down. The old one had one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel, and the others are just duller, or even downright dull minds.

Anyway, thanks for Trump. Definitely an upgrade from the status quo.

It doesn’t matter. These delegates have to vote for the winner of the primary at the convention...on the first ballot.

And we know there will not be a second ballot. :^D
