Think Joe Lieberman. Highly regarded politician (as politicians go) but got primaried on the left. As they kick their 'right wing' out of the party, left is all that's left.
So true. Full disclosure: Gore’s selection of Joe Lieberman impressed me enough that I voted for that ticket i 2000 after having voted for Clinton in 1996. Lieberman is a great American and I hope Mr. Trump taps a similarly highly esteemed running mate. Sometimes, Veeps actually do make an impact on voters. I thought much more of Dan Quayle that George H.W. Bush and did vote for them both in 1988 and 1992. My first choice, as a democrat in 1992, was the late Massachusetts Senator Paul Tsongas, who actually won the primary in my state of Maryland. Sadly, his cancer battle cut his life short.
It truly is a disgrace that the democrat party has devolved into nothing but left wing radicals who constantly apologize for our country and always put our national interest dead last.
I pray night and day that there are sufficient patriotic democrats remaining to help elect Donald Trump POTUS this November!!
