Rush is a twit
Read up on the Jefferson & Burr administration; not that Trump is like Jefferson ( thank GOD ), but Crfuz sure is like Burr.
Obviously Cruz can't win the nomination, Trump certainly does NOT need him, and the vast majority of us, who once would be more than happy with your "dream ticket" no longer want it/would be very unhappy with it.
Mark Levin is a moron ( please don't tell me otherwise, I know him )and Co. didn't have a primary.
You may have been here a long time, but you haven't learned anything. And claiming that I have somehow had any influence on this site, re this primary/election season is hogwash.
You and those likewise, here are a small minority.
You're implying that Trump can't beat Hillary without your vote, and/or Cruz on the ticket, are you? LOL
I've got news for you! Trump brings is a huge number of disaffected Dem, Indies, black, first time voters, blue collars voters, and yes, Hispanics.....NONE of whom will vote GOP, without him as the nominee!
’ Obviously American political history isn’t your forte. ‘
Keep it coming.
’ Mark Levin is a moron ( please don’t tell me otherwise, I know him )and Co. didn’t have a primary. ‘
Levin is #3 talker and has made an incalculable contribution. But keep it coming—the ad hominem attacks are truly working great for you for now.
‘Crfuz sure is like Burr...’
Burr was awful. Killed Hamiton .
But I like your analogy.
Trump should answer Cruz’s call for a real debate, which is the modern equivalent of a duel.
The prior debates featured a lot grand standing (kelly) and personal attacks, but little in the way of establishing deeply defined political positions.
I have said that all along. The Dems will make it an issue if he gets the nomination. The question is if the Gop-e makes sure Trump doesn’t get it and then brings in their ringer, all set to lose the election.
He isnt cheating.
The system is corrupt.
Post of the day, week, and month: so succinct and so correct. (I will now be unsuccinct.)
The oligarchy has been at this for decades. While I am not entirely a fan of Michael Savage, he is entitled to claiming that he has been calling it a uni-party for two decades: The fix is well and truly in.
The RNC (I refuse to use the pet label of GOP - there is nothing grand about this old party) does not want the presidency: They do not want to be further exposed as globalist/communist in nature after running on a so-called conservative platform; they far prefer being the ineffectual minor party while raking in the money, power, and status of amoral creatures belonging to the likes of George Soros.
It is seldom noted, but entirely crucial, that these elites all attend the same, corrupt, leftist preparatories and universities: They are all equally steeped in the foul propaganda permeating those institutions of indoctrination; how could the Republicans be any better than the Democrats after growing up with virtually nothing but Democrat-authorized philosophy, while also making those leftists their friends and family? No one represents Main Street, except, potentially (not certainly) Donald Trump.
I have reached my zenith of contempt for the sophistry of Rush Limbaugh and, especially, Mark Levin. I suppose these two Cadillac Conservatives would be just fine with it if the “rules” were changed in every state to disenfranchise the voters; after all, as the Cruzers are saying, we’re a “republic” and not a democracy. How about we have our elected representatives pass a Constitutional Amendment making Barack Obama dictator for life? After all, as long as it is done according to the “rules” none of us would be entitled to “whine” about it - right?
What these shilling sophists ignore is that the Founders intended and expected honorable and ethical conduct from the representatives, senators, delegates, et al.
No, the RNC did not cheat, but yes, the RNC has behaved in an utterly reprehensible fashion.
(And to those snotty snarkers who blame Trump’s ground game, and praise Cruz’s ground game, suggesting that Trump could have done the same if he had been more savvy: No, he would not have been allowed to do the same. The oligarchs are not at all neutral in this whole sordid process, and they would have continued to game the system to thwart Trump in favor of Cruz.)
These people are supposed to act in good faith with the electorate. There is no good faith to be found in the RNC.
The thing about Cruz is, is that he has no chance at all to win the state of Florida, let alone VA, PA. The campaign he is running doesnt sell here. Without Florida, the election is over at 8:01 PM. The GOPe knows this.
Trump can win Florida, but they dont want a Trump presidency. They will install a Ryan type to run. Ted Cruz is dead in the water.
> Limbaugh needs Hillary in the White House. Hell be relevant again.
Bingo ! Same with Levin.
If they have nothing to complain about, their shows become meaningless.
> If he could press a button and have the nomination handed to him ...
That is exactly how Hillary is winning. She knows all the right buttons to push. Ted has been taking notes for some time. This is Trump’s first rodeo. I do think Trump can pull through.
> Just consider Kennedy and Johnson, perhaps one of the most bitterly fought primary battles in recent decades, and the resulting fusion ticket (cynical but politically astute) that squeaked out a victory.
And also earned JF Kennedy an early grave, IMHO.
> if you have been following the FR Caucus there are usually less than 50 Cruz supporters
I have been told by one Cruz supporter, and it was supported by others, that the reason they all don’t vote in the FR Caucus is that they believe it will be used to ‘purge’ them off FR in the not so distant future. It defies logic, one could simply reference their posting history for the same purpose. I have thus concluded that there are 30 to 40 actual Cruz supporters on FR, and the rest are here to disrupt any reasonable discussion here.
Somebody on another thread said you HATED Ted Cruz.
Is this true?
look at the amounts of money and when. Especially to clinton and their foundation.
you’re backing an admitted adulterer, someone who bragged about his personal sexcapades with other men’s wives, and is proud of it. And then you believe the Enquirer when an outrageous claim is made of 5 women against one candidate??
and you all know it.
a man who dodged the draft, and you know it.
when he calls himself a republican, you dismiss it, but when a democrat has an identical history, you condemn him, clinton, for it. Why was it wrong for clinton but okay for trump to be a lying , adulterous draft dodger?
it is not me who is the hypocrite, it is all the freepers who ever called themselves a conservative, to now support a lying, bragging, arrogant strip club owner and casino operator and to call him worthy of being president, and the saddest thing, none of what is said is opinion, it is fact, for decades true, decades of compromise with democrats, payoffs he admits he makes to gain influence over democrats...
a man who tells his own supporters to punch people in the face at his rallies and to not worry, how he’ll pay for their legal defense...
a man who brags how his ‘followers’ will defend him if he shoots someone in the face on 5th avenue
and you all know this.
You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves.
Uhm, those little squiggles around "weak minded" are called quotation marks. Guess what they are used for, and what they mean.
I don't know about "everyone," but you sure have fit the profile....
I agree on the use of "myrmidons," but if I had used the more appropriate word it wouldn't have been a quote, now would it?
Far be it from me to stand in the way of your rhetorical bungling ;o)
Of course, this only adds credence to my suspicion your use of the term "whine" is equally erroneous and self-serving.
Cruz might have ‘outmanuevered’ Trump in Colorado, but BY DENYING VOTERS a chance to even vote? That is brazen contempt for us in ‘flyover country’.
That is SHEER HARVARD ARROGANCE!
I’ve won a few fights through kicking guys in the nuts, but it’s nothing to brag about, is it?
The honorable thing for Cruz to do is to suspend his campaign.
He’s losing public support with elitist stunts like this. He’s dividing the anti-anti-leftist base.
~~~
And while I’m at it, Cruz is less eligible than Winston Churchill was. While Cruz is a patriot who means well, Churchill was a rabid English nationalist. And look at Obama — a rabid anti-patriot. So our Founding Fathers knew what the heck they were doing when mandating ‘natural born status’ no matter what the witch doctors with gavels say.
Urg. He’s dividing the anti-leftist base.
Not ‘anti-anti’.
Sorry, I did not mean to say ‘anti-antii’.
Yeah, but I’m still worked up!
I disagree. They decided back in August, 2015, well before anyone imagined Trump would do so well, that Colorado would not have a primary. That was most likely a decision to make sure Cruz didn't do well - the establishment hates Cruz only a little less than they hate Trump. Cruz didn't outmaneuver Trump. The establishment outmaneuvered itself, and Cruz benefited because he studied the rules carefully in Colorado and in every other state.
I'm a Trump voter, but the whining about "cheating" and "stealing" isn't helping Trump. Trump need to buckle down, read the rules in the remaining states, and make sure his staff has him competing for every single delegate under the rules in effect for each delegate.
There's no crying in politics, except for Boehner, and he's not a conservative.
August 7, 2015
(CNN)It was the most dramatic opening to a presidential debate in recent memoryand Donald Trump stole the show before he'd even said a word.
Perched comfortably at the top of the polls and lapping his closest rivals by double digits, Trump was expected to do well at the first GOP presidential debate of the 2016 season on Thursday night.
That's not what it looked like to me. Talking with insiders, which I do a lot, they expected Trump to disappear after creating a flash of publicity. If you look at FR from that date, the people here liked Trump, but they also liked Cruz, Carson, Walker, and others. The main praise for Trump was as a "point man" who brought immigration into the discussion rather than as the candidate people wanted to see win. Read that day on FR. There is praise for Trump, but the tone does not show confidence that he will lead the race as he has done.
The establishment concern last August was Cruz, because they saw his huge state-by-state organization. As recently as last month, they were still maneuvering so that Cruz would not be the last man standing against Trump when Trump finally flamed out.
Mommy a little tough on you during potty training?
