I understand the sentiment. However, state electors are different from party nomination delegates. States Electors are often bound by laws called “Faithless Elector” that prohibit them from stabbing voters in the back for a personal preference. At least 26 states have these laws.
This kind of national duplicity is something a states elector in a state not governed by a faithless elector should consider very, very carefully because this is not an anonymous process.

The Delagates have always honored the vote unless it was very, very close like in 1952.
This action confirms to me the Establishment knows they cannot win legitmently. Their dumb ideas do not fool the majority of voters.
Thus, they have to lie, cheat and steal in order to win. This is what we get from a government that has a 9% approval rating on average.
