Just pray the cards he’s playing now don’t turn out to be all jokers after the election.

I think that’s the best post of the thread.

So you aren’t ecstatic about it, but will vote against Hillary and for this bizarre guy if it comes down to it?

Freegards

People would vote for me. I guarantee it. They would leap at the chance.

We need a president that would be a good commander in chief and will follow the constitution. Presidents can’t create real private sector jobs. Obamacare is probably the biggest job killer there is right now, which is why defeating Hillary should be our #1 priority.

Eliminating common core is a cut in federal spending, so is repealing obamacare, etc, If you stay willfully blind its you thats the problem not Trump.

Cutting Common Core results in Dept of Ed employees being reassigned. Trump has already promised another Federal program to replace ObomaCare. So those Federal employees also stay employed. Trumpets are so gullible.

“But he does say eminent domain and how he likes abusing it.”

Trump supports eminent domain for the primary reason it exists. That is, to build airports, freeways, military bases, bridges, dams, reservoirs, and other public works projects that benefit the public at large.

Cruz hired a psychoanalyst for his campaign to find what story will work psychologically in each state.

You dismiss me like Trump might. “You’re stupid. Nah nah nah nah nah nah.” How do you hope to have people like me vote for Trump in the general, should he become our nominee, if you’re so rude?

Judging from your ability to read critically, I doubt there's anything I could possibly say to convince you of anything, let alone to vote for Trump.

I'll try not to let it worry me.

Of course he hasn’t pushed him away. That would be stupid. Winning is the goal. Same as Trump.

I have a feeling you have it right. Trump has 100 times more real world experience than Reagan, but nobody can beat Reagan for likability and soothing delivery of speech.

In the 1980’s Trump buys full page newspaper ad blasting President Ronald Reagan’s foreign policy TRUMP SAYS REAGAN HAS NO BACKBONE

Trump’s book personally attacks Reagan: “Is There Anything Beneath That Smile”?

Legendary Trump Tower constructed using illegal immigrants; Trump sued in Federal court; Associate claims Trump knows illegals were used.

January 2000 Trump writes The America We Deserve. In it he calls for: largest tax hike in American history Universal, government run health care; Gun control, assault weapons ban; pro-choice, no ban on abortions; trade restrictions. Suggests Oprah Winfrey as his running mate because “she’s popular”, when running for President in the Reform Party.

In 2008 Trump sided with Nancy Pelosi and called for President George W. Bush’s impeachment. Per Trump it would be “a wonderful thing”.

In 2009 Trump praised President Obana’s trillion dollar stimulus package, saying “I thought he did a terrific job” and “I think his taxes are very good”.

Trump gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democrats. The democratic recipients of Trump’s donations make up what looks like a Republican enemies list.

This time around, he praised Canada’s single payor, government-run healthcare. Trump said “it works in Canada. It works incredibly well in Scotland.

In Sept 2015 Trump said “everybody’s got to be covered...the government’s going to pay for it”. Trump called for amnesty for the 11 million illegal immigrants already in the United States, and for a pathway to citizenship. Trump said: “It’s very very tough to just say you have to leave, get out!”. and “You have to give them a path to citizenship and you have to make it possible for them to succeed.

Donald Trump is a lot of things, a consistent conservative is not one of them.

So which Donald will you elect? The 2016 Donald, or the 1990 to 2015 Donald. You don’t know, and neither does anyone else.

So I say if you are going to give Donald a pass on all these past mistakes, then Cruz deserves the same pass. I don’t believe you can dare call Cruz a fraud when your guy backpedals on a “firm” position he held, right on the debate stage!! Get real.

Who is more conservative than Trump?

Certainly not the candidate that defends Planned Parenthood and repeatedly donated money to democrats.

Oops: that also would be Trump.

While I am extreme conservative on immigration, military & fiscal issues, I have a soft corner for PP. If PP stops abortions, it is a beneficial organization for lot of women in the low income range, and that includes college students. PP is much cheaper than meeting deductibles of private health insurance. It is foolish to throw out the baby with the bath water.

As with John McCain before him, the split in the Conservative vote between Rubio and Cruz gives Trump his mighty 35%...majority/ He only gets the votes he does because he tells people what they want to hear.
************************************************
That would be plurality, not majority.

Rubio did to this 2016 campaign season the same as Huckabee did a few years ago. Both stayed in long after they knew they could not possibly win and left the GOP with nominees that the majority of voters could not vote for or support.
