CNN is reporting that a "cluster" of independent groups who are supporting Ted Cruz, are deciding to no longer spend money on anti-rubio ads for the state of Florida.

The group is called Keep The Promise and Kellyanne Conway, the president of the SuperPAC group, was very specific about the decision.

"We're no longer doing anti-Rubio ads in Florida, because it appears he can lose Florida all by himself. He doesn't need our help."(continued)

If put that way, it makes you stop and think! A candidate who was indeed born outside the US to a non-US father!

I thought Cruz did well and probably won the debate. I wish he had attacked Trump harder on a few points but he got the most effective attacks in of anyone at the debate. It just was a rather subdued and boring debate overall.

The continual “donald said this or did that” (lie after lie told bout donald), from the droning nasal ted cruz stuffed and talking playtoy... has gotten so pathetic.

Its sad and embarrassing.

Ted’s not gonna win didly-squat what with trash talking the largest monolithic political subdivision within the republican party... aka “trump supporters”... first he calls us all stupid then he tries to “win” our support...

Not gonna happen.

Ted Cruz is an excellent speaker.

And he doesn’t lisp like the New Yawker. Or spit.

He out and out lied about trump supporting the Iran deal which trump says he hates every rally. That was dumb. And he put Cruz in his place when he said that Cruz doesn’t have hardly anyone at his rallies. Ted was dumbfounded and to embarrassed to say anything. Awesome moment for trump. Also not answering Cuba was dumb.

He’s also finished.
Toast.
Stick a fork in him he’s done!
He really seemed to make a loser out of himself.

Not only did he lie about Trump's position on the Iran deal, he conveniently leaves out how he supported and pushed the plan to allow the bamster to say it wasn't a treaty, therefore needed no Senate approval to go through.

He looks more and more desperate with these kinds of lies, a not so nice attribute for the so called true conservative to have.

Debate was a disaster for Cruz. He fumbled the Cuba question by turning it into a Trump attack and was a total non factor in post debate recap.

Rubio was strong enough he’ll peel off some suburban votes in MO, IL and NC next week from Cruz. Not enough to win but enough to pull Cruz down and really help Trump.

I don't think he'll lose support, not sure I'd call it a disaster, he satisfies those who need an intellectual debator to be president. He just seems so tight, stern and looks too much like a scold to gain a whole lot more votes though. He really needs to get lessons from Marco on the likability thing, but perhaps to be telegenic is a gift that's mostly genetics, and he'll never be able to do that.

Cruz’s shrillness is just more obvious when the other candidates tone it down, IMO. Doesn’t come off as likable at all. Not that I’m unbiased, LOL.

I sort of remember discussions about Adlai Stevenson (sp?) when I was a kid, the twice failed Democrat candidate who ran against Ike.

It was said he was so incredibly smart, and lots of people never understood why others didn't like him enough to put him over the top.

I'm guessing there may be some similarities.

Ted IS a good debater, if you score things from the Hahvahd viewpoint, or debate judges. I just don't think most people want an egghead debate champion as president. They watch these things to get a full measure of the person's leadership style or capacity.

It’s just hard to see what state Trump loses next: if it’s OH, that really doesn’t count with a “favorite son”.

In the case of Adlai Stevenson, II, the intelligence image was just that, an image. It was later found that Eisenhower read far more books in a year than Stevenson.
