Trump, if I remember correctly, had a knee injury from paying college baseball that was the source of the deferment. If so then it is a legit deferment.
At no point did Trump send a letter to the draft board that said he “loathed the military” as Clinton did.
I was, until cataract surgery extremely near sighted. They didn’t want me either. The bad eye sight did not limit me in most other ways but disqualified me for military service in 1977. I can understand why a bum knee would be a reason for deferment
Pretty soon, pretty darn soon, Trump needs to make a deal with Cruz. Supreme Court. Now. How often would the opportunity come up.
Cruz could much more powerful on the SC than Trump would ever be as President. He would be an excellent justice. I think Trump could get him approved, depending on how the Senate shakes out.
I think Cruz’s temperment is much more suited to be a justice than a president. my personal opinion.
Fine by me...
Hell, I’d campaign for Trump if Cruz would accept...
Keep taunting. Keep ridiculing. And after your pyrrhic nomination performance, youâll be whining for help from the other 65% in general. Many of them will not so easily forget.
^ This, and if Trump should win the battle for the presidency the war for the constitution may well be lost. This country may not survive another malignant narcissist president. Although if he does 1% of what his sycophant supporters say he will do I guess that’s a win.
STERN: Now getting back to dating, and when you got to say to a woman, you gotta go to my personal doctor and Iâm gonna have you checked out, is that a tough thing to say to a woman?
TRUMP: Itâs amazing, I canât even believe it. Iâve been so lucky in terms of that whole world. It is a dangerous world out there. Itâs like Vietnam, sort of.
STERN: Hey itâs your personal Vietnam isnât it?
TRUMP: It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier!
LOL
WTF is with those dern sym&*(ls???
Why can’t we get rid of them?
Whatever happened to your ground game in SC?
You were confident that would produce a win for the junior senator from Texas.
Well I was just thinking of Trumpisms, and those are the words (fat pig) Megan K accused Trump of using and Trump said ‘Well I was talking about Rosie O’Donnel’ ... and really that was the start of the end of the Establishment. The audience didn’t know whether to laugh or boo, then they laughed ... I think that moment should go down in history like the shot heard round the world.
Iowa? Oh you mean the state trump was crying about after he lost.
Using GOPe argument on Trump on Rubio. 80% of republicans don’t support Rubio, 20% is Rubio’s ceiling
I am dying to hear Rush explain the loss by the “consistent” conservative in evangelical South Carolina, on Monday’s broadcast. Rush has said 1760 times that true conservatives always win elections. So either Rush’s theorem is faulty or the true conservative is really not a good conservative. Which is it Rush? Can not have it both ways.
I was wrong. Simple, huh?
The pundits didn’t know what they were talking about when they said Trump’s “ceiling” was 20-24%, so why are they any more credible, now?
IMO were seeing the demise of our Republic. We’re also experiencing how people like Chavez, Mussalini, Mugabe, and yes even Hitler got elected. People have grown so tired of the abuse they’ll vote for anyone who speaks out against it.
You have to break it before you can rebuild it.
It takes a big man to admit an error. Bravo.

Trump also said his sexual promiscuity during that age was like his own personal Vietnam. Only instead of risking getting shot it was STDs.
I agree, Cruz would be great on the S/C. Furthermore, the question of whether or not he is natural born would not be an issue. Should Trump have a Reagan-like win, the congress will do what he asks, just as the democrat house during Reagen’s first term did, the reason being that they were afraid not to. And I think Trump is going to have the kind of populist support that Reagan had. The only thing that worries me right now is this Romney endorsement of Rubio. The Mormons are well organized and they have a huge presence at the caucuses, and I fear this Romney endorsement will mobilize them all for Rubio, especially since Rubio used to be a Mormon. The population of Nevada is somewhere between 30% and 40% Mormon, and it is not unlikely that well over 50% of the caucus attendees will be Mormon, and they will all vote for Rubio. Don’t depend on Nevada caucuses going for Trump, be prepared to lose this, it could happen, and the momentum go to Rubio.
