COLUMBIA -- Contention in the Republican presidential contest ticked up a notch Wednesday when Sen. Ted Cruz responded to a cease-and-desist request from Donald Trump's camp asking him to stop playing an advertisement by saying, "file the lawsuit."

Cruz told reporters in the morning that the letter accused his campaign of misleading the public in a TV ad that includes footage of Trump saying he is "very pro-choice."

"The letter said this attack ad, as they called it, is not only completely disingenuous but replete with lies, false defamatory and destructive statements and downright fabrications," he said, according to a CNN video.

Cruz said the letter threatened to sue him if the campaign doesn't remove the ad....

GOOD!

Trump has the HIGHEST negatives of ANY candidate (take note: Hillary the liar, is a candidate)

The Trump supporters talk about the importance of victory (at any price, they say) but we will lose with Trump. And it will be the most significant setback in this Country's HISTORY!

.

Because: Trump is a whiny, self-important, unqualified narcissist.

Note to Trump: Where's your lawsuit? Bring it on, big boy. I can't wait for the deposition and discovery processes to begin.

BRING IT!

Don’t know if this is a wise use of his campaign dollars. Trump really has Cruz rattled.

The more Trump whines about it, the more attention he brings to the fact that he used to be a liberal. Win/Win for Cruz.

What would you Trumpers do if someone removed the word “liar” from your vocabulary.

It seems to be your main defense.

Just shout liar.

Not working sweetie. Facts work better.

Cruz has true grit. He said he would even represent himself.""""

No one could represent him better. For anyone to think that Cruz is ignorant of his citizen status is just ignorant themselves..., I suspect Cruz has backed strump into the corner he wants him. ROFL going to get good now.

Strump seems to know all the right gutter words, but is totally ignorant of LAW....why he may even twitter to find his answer to this dilemma of his own making.

aside from a qute pic you found, please list us the great lies of Ted Cruz.

I will be happy to find 3x things that djt has said then said the opposite of and it will not be all that hard I am thinking.

Now do you understand what lies and misrepresentation mean??

That is what Ted is doing, and now doubling down on dumb. Very stupid to hand someone like Trump your head on a platter. He’s going to use it. Watch him dominate the new cycle this week with all the ammunition Ted gave him. For being so brilliant Ted sure pulls some bonehead moves.

I never dreamed Ted would have burned “principled” to ashes on the altar of winning like he has. Amazing Ted’s book title is “A Time for Truth”. I bought it.

I couldn’t believe Ted forgot Trump was the only one to mention the names of two conservative judges he’d consider appointing at the beginning of the debate. Instead the “brilliant debater” with “a photographic recall of the spoken word” LIED and said “Trump will appoint liberal judges.”

Wow. What a stupid tactical mistake. It shows canned soundbites overruled smart tactical maneuvering - Ted didn’t recognize the battle field changed with Trump’s mentioning the two conservative judges he’d appoint. He ran with the canned soundbite anyway. Very bad mistake, very bad tactical judgment. That was stunning. Ted’s just another status quo puppet politician. I’ll too vote for him as the nominee but it will be a default “cream of the crap vote for me”.

Just think of the super bad press Trump would get if a judge / lawyer asked...... Well..... is that you in that video saying that?

The subsequent scene would be hilarious.

Cruz isn’t lying about anyone though. The ads show Trump saying these things.

When Ted runs a solid third Saturday night, you’ll blame everyone else.

The voters realize the hypocrisy of piety and mud slinging. It’s impossible to do both, and Ted fell into the trap. Ted’s initial popularity was because he was the “nice” alternative to Trump while giving a good name to his faith.

He lost that. Now he comes across to people on the street as judgemental , condescending, and creepy. Talk to people outside this forum - like at the grocery store - and ask them what they think about Ted.

You won’t be comforted by what you hear. (Unless you browbeat them into agreeing with you, which will reinforce my point.)

Oh, my, such anger directed at a group of people because of their religious beliefs. And throwing in the word “politburo”, to boot. Your words carry a certain, rather distinctive, air about them, can’t quite put my finger on it.

I am for Both, like you. I will even take Rubio over Hillary! or Bern!

But Cruz brought up the old trick deposing Trump in liable suit. Would not be a good day for Trump.

We are finding out WAY too much about Trump . Its going to hurt Trump or Cruz in the general because of all the bad optics.

Cruz continues to reveal his true character with these needling, pestering little games of his.

Most voters of SC see how stupid it is to constantly run ads featuring an interview from 1999 that doesn't address their main concerns in this campaign of 2016: the refusal of the US government to enforce immigration law over several administrations, and negative results of past one-sided trade deals and Cruz's support for perhaps the worst one yet as far as the interest of most US citizens his concerned.

The most brilliant lawyer who ever lived seems to be remarkably lacking in common sense. But he's having fun being a pest, while the voters of SC are listening to the candidate who raised the issues they've been concerned about for years to a level of importance never before seen in a presidential campaign.

But, keep on acting like a pesky gnat, Ted. It won't win you any votes.
