It’s accurate: Cruz’s most recent lie is when he stated that he “did not nominate Roberts, would not nominate Roberts” when accused of supporting Roberts. Cruz had a hard on so bad for Roberts he was pushing him badly even before he got into the senate, writing that Roberts was the “best ever” litigator, “second to none,” a “true conservative” “like the President who nominated him.”
There are many other lies told by the Cruz campaign. Another is the immigration issue. Cruz conflates the pathway to citizenship with legalization, so that he can claim he was always against legalization. He uses Sessions to prove this conflation, after he has already confused the issue. But Sessions, Mike Lee, not even Rush Limbaugh, were opposing legalization during the Gang of Eight fight either. Hush Bimbo himself declared on his radio program that deportation was unrealistic, and he ridiculed callers as “seminar callers” when they tried to sing a different tune.
Cruz is offering an anachronism, claiming he opposed “amnesty,” when, in fact, he called legalization part of “common sense immigration reform.” He supported this position even after the gang of eight fight was over. And for 9 straight months during this campaign cycle, Cruz refused to remove legalization of illegals off the table when directly asked by Chuck Todd, Megyn Kelly and others.
But Cruz’s supporters, despite all this history, insist that Cruz is white as snow, even though he lies constantly.
Cruz’s supporters will never convince Trump supporters that Trump is a liberal because of all this. Their candidate lies too much, and they are not honest with themselves or with other posters when they defend Cruz.
Trump calling anyone else a liar is a true pot-meet-kettle moment.
Both of them have clay feet.

He also voted for the Corker bill pissing away the senate’s power to strike down the Iran deal and then railed against the Iran deal. The Corker bill was a real gem of Washington establishment trickery! That’s why Cruz found it so appealing. For every very unconservative, Obama abetting, vote don’t worry Cruz has an excuse. Many lies little and big. I don’t have heath insurance oh yes I do have health insurance. I am funding my campaign with grass roots support and oh I forgot Goldman sachs money! On and on. And poor Ben Carson goes home to do some laundry and unbeknownst to him has dropped out of the presidential race. Cruz doesn’t shoot straight. I am wondering if McConnell really did lie to him. That’s how bad it’s getting.
They can’t take the truth.
Well, hopefully some will.
