Yes, Trump promised to save the yuge amount of $300 billion annually by negotiating lower drug prices. The government spent $297 billion total on drugs in 2014. That tells you a lot right there. Forgive me for not being convinced.
And what did the government spend on medical suppllies, which I think my post mentioned? Johnson & Johnson and many other suppliers makes gobs and gobs of money on those; and I seem to recall a big fuss during the Obamacare ramp up about whether medical devices would be taxed or not. Devices include hospital drapes and surgical equipment, sterile supplies and bandages, casts, orthopedic equipment, containters, biohazard items, computerized imaging systems (that cost a fortune), lighting, beds, and other furnishings for VA hosptials and clinics, internal surgical devices like pacemakers and stents, and on and on. Do you have a figure for those government expenditures, many of which could probably also be negotiated for better cost savings?
