I’m not the type of person who will say “I told you so!” ... but I never supported the invasion of Iraq at all. I also considered it a major betrayal of the conservative movement by the Bush administration, too. That was the moment the whole bunch of them was exposed as nothing more than a bunch of big-government globalists.
Yep, you were the voice in the wilderness, and you were proven right.
I gave W the “benefit of the doubt”, sometimes you have to learn the hard way.
God Bless You.....smart individual. Should have been more of you.
I supported the Iraq invasion, not because I gave a damn about about WMDs, but because I wanted fear put into the hearts of the Muslim world and Hussein was a POS anyway. However, my support began to die for a few reasons: 1) silly rules of engagement, 2) Bush calling Islam a “religion of peace”, 3) a complete lack of a plan for after we took out Hussein. Even just leaving would have been a plan, but Bush decided to lollygag in Irag for years building schools and playgrounds while our guys got shot and blown up. Oh, and let’s not forget 4) Bush simply REFUSED to defend the invasion, ever, allowing the Left to stack talking point upon talking point against Republicans until Obama or some other Marxist a-hole became inevitable.
kudos to you. it’s hard to continue to use your head in the midst of so much unfounded emotion.
in my case, all i can plead is ignorance, inexperience and prideful stupidity—some of it willful. garbage in, garbage out.
“Conservatism” = globalism wrapped in the flag.
